Addy's Attic

Now that's an interesting-looking puzzle. I'm happy I can share your joy and you are also a good friend, Addy!

Norman .... I know I said I was going to watch a movie... but as it turns out... today is not a movie kind of day... so....
me and Robert were wondering if you would like to come over and play cards??? The only rule is don't suggest playing "Go Fish"... Robert is kind of sensitive about the issue of discrimination against worms used as bait.
This is why I feed him those fish crackers... It gives him the upper hand and allows him to gain self-confidence.

Let me know if you're in.... LOL

I used to lead on a Norman back in the '90s, but today I play a Martin.
A solid body electric Norman ? I have only seen a picture of one of those . I once worked in a store and we sold new Martin guitars , ahhh the good ole days :cool2 .

I don't know...my buddy Steve used to call me, "The Angler." I would try anything for bait. Even a green worm! I'll try. Lol

No, it was an acoustic. It was really nice. I used a Kramer solid body. I liked how I could tune it from both ends!
I had a D-28 and a Gibson ES-175, though, like a fool, I sold them.
When I started leading, my dad actually, who, according to his own words, had a tin ear, picked me up a cheap acoustic from a pawn shop. When I looked at it, I realized that the tuning pegs were on backwards. I reversed them and, voila!
Great action, great intonation, great sound. I used it until it was stolen out of my truck. After that, I borrowed the worship pastor's Norman. Or used my electric, which I ended up doing since I was a soloist.
Yep, the good ole days! Broken heart and all. Sigh!

My mother had a Martin... It was made in 1963... I gave it to the son of the owners of our music store... because he fell in love with it... and I knew he would give it the life it deserved. That was 14 years ago.... about a year ago... I went into the store to see if he kept his promise of NEVER selling it... ( which I knew he would )... and to my surprise.. he not only kept it... he sent it away to be repaired and refurbished.

Is the D-28 still the filet mignon of Martins??
Yes I would say so , a pre-WWII model is very sought after among the bluegrass pickers .
