Angels Do Not Have Sex

Why would angels have reproductive organs anyway? They aren't reproducing other angels. It seems bizarre that some people state that God created angels with reproductive organs and then say that angels don't get married.
Yes these people have been mislead Angels do not have reproductive organs' for what they don't make other Angels. And Angels have to have permission before they can do anything to humans Job 1 and 2. Angels having sex with humans is a lie straight out of Hell. You know what kills me is even when you show people Scripture that proves they don't have sex' people still don't believe it. When You Have Sex You Marry Because You Become One Flesh. Jesus said that Angels do not marry. Any time you have sex with a woman that you have not married, you marry them without the ceremony because you penetrate them and become one flesh. So again Jesus said that Angels do not marry.

Please show us the scripture that says angels do not have reproductive organs.

Angels appear as men.

They eat food as men.

Many have entertained angels, unaware!

The reason they have is because they appear on earth in this natural realm as men.

In the spirit realm, in heaven they are neither male not female, however when the appear on earth as men, then they have the functions of men.

Please consider that one must rightly divide the word to distinguish when an angel is operating as a spirit being in the realm of spirit or as a man on earth.

4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 2 Peter 2:4-5

Please share what the sin was that these angels that Peter is referring to was, during the time of Noah that caused God to flood the earth.

So they ate food as men does that mean that they have sex organs ? Remember these angels were on assignment and if God sends them on a assignment He will equip them for the task even if it means eating. But to have sex with humans God will not have it. You can keep being fooled by that bad bad misinterpretation of Genesis 6 if you want to. Because I am not going to try and prove anything to you. And as for Peter he was talking about the Angels in heaven Lucifer and crew, and then in the same verse Peter started talking about the flood. floods don't kill angels.

Hi JLB,

You have concluded that the sin of the angels happened during the time of the flood. That's called "Begging the Question". It's a logical fallacy that includes the assumed (false) conclusion within the question.

Please share what the sin was that these angels that Peter is referring to was, during the time of Noah that caused God to flood the earth.

JLB

Simply including the assumption (that the sin the angels committed could only have happened at the time of the flood) does not constitute evidence. We don't have support for your assumption UNLESS we also assume (as you do) that the term 'sons of God' in Genesis 6 may only refer to angels.

There are some who do not agree that Genesis 6 could only have been about angels who lusted for women. There are hundreds of Scriptures that speak against being unequally yoked with unbelievers.

You're not going to get your question answered. Here's why: Peter was talking about false prophets (not angels). In verse 4, Peter begins to speak of God's judgment and includes several examples. One example was the angels who sinned. Another example was the sin of mankind at the time of the flood. Yet another example was the son of Sodom and Gomorrah. Peter was warning about false prophets and stated that they too would be punished. He also pointed to Lot as an example of the Lord who knows how to preserve the righteous.

A son of God is a person who is created or is born of God.

37 the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, 38 the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God. Luke 3:37-38

Adam was created directly by God.

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God.

Believers are called children of God because they are born again, for they are born of God.

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 1 John 5:1

and again -

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

and again -

Behold , what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Angels are called sons of God -

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.7 And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." 8 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?" Job 1:6-8

again -

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." Job 2:1-2

4 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8 "Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; 9 When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band; Job 38:4-9

again -

35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Luke 20:35-36

Nowhere in the Old Testament do we find a person called a son of God except Adam.

Only after Jesus was crucified for our sins, and those who believe in Him are born again, that is to say born of God, being born of the Spirit.

It is only those who continue to believe and obtain the resurrection, that are sons of God.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:19-23

The redemption of our body is a reference to the resurrection, whereby all of creation is waiting for those who will be called sons of God to be revealed.

Until then we have been given the power to become sons of God.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born , not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13

Furthermore, the sons of God were not human as they were unaffected by the flood, as they continued to produce Nephilim after the flood wiped out every man from the earth except Noah and his family.

The New Testament writers referred to them as angels.

JLB

You really really really want to believe demons had sex with women, fine with me keep believing that.

Hi JLB,

You have concluded that the sin of the angels happened during the time of the flood. That's called "Begging the Question". It's a logical fallacy that includes the assumed (false) conclusion within the question.

Simply including the assumption (that the sin the angels committed could only have happened at the time of the flood) does not constitute evidence. We don't have support for your assumption UNLESS we also assume (as you do) that the term 'sons of God' in Genesis 6 may only refer to angels.

Peter directly links the angels who sinned with Noah and the ancient world.

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
2 Peter 2:4-5

Jude directly links the angels who did not keep their proper domain with sexual immorality and going after strange flesh.

And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 6-8

Peter directly links the spirits in prison whom Jesus preached to with Noah and the flood.

19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waitedin the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
1Peter 3:19-20

Scriptural context is the overwhelming key to having a clear understanding of scripture.

Together with the fact that a son of God is a reference to the offspring of God.

Not the offspring of men!

And finally the sons of God continued to produce Nephilim after the flood.

JLB
Yes it is. Which is why ripping a verse or two out of it's context leads you to this erroneous interpretation of what Peter is saying in 2 Peter 2.

Peter is right in the middle of giving his readers a walk thru the history of God's wrath throughout all creation. He lists three examples as three separate events in history:

1. When Satan and his demons rebelled and "fell".

2. Noah's flood.

3. Sodom's destruction

Peter directly links the angels who sinned with Noah and the ancient world.

2 Peter 2:4-5
JLB
No he doesn't. He links three examples of God's wrath upon evil doers. Then gives Lot's rescue as an example of God's mercy upon the righteous.

2 Peter 2:1-7 But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you also, who will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, thus bringing on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their licentious ways, because of whom the way of truth will be reviled. And in greediness they will exploit you with false words, whose condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. For if God did not spare the angels who sinned,[1st wrath example] but held them captive in Tartarus with chains of darkness and handed them over to be kept for judgment, and did not spare the ancient world[2nd Wrath example], but preserved Noah, a proclaimer of righteousness, and seven others when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly, and condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction [3rd Wrath example], reducing them to ashes, having appointed them as an example for those who are going to be ungodly, and rescued righteous Lot [1st rescue example], worn down by the way of life of lawless persons in licentiousness

Jude directly links the angels who did not keep their proper domain with sexual immorality and going after strange flesh.

JLB

No he doesn't.

Just as Peter did (even using many of the same phrases), Jude gives three examples of God's wrath, not two examples of improper sex. Except Jude walks them backwards from Peter's examples. Starting with God's rescue of Moses' Israel from Egypt, then their punishment for denying their Master then angels then S&G.

Jude 1:4-7 For certain men have slipped in stealthily, who were designated long ago for this condemnation, ungodly ones, who change the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord Jesus Christ. Now I want to remind you, although you know everything once and for all, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt,[rescue example] the second time destroyed those who did not believe. [1st wrath example]And the angels who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling place, he has kept in eternal bonds under deep gloom for the judgment of the great day,[2nd wrath example] as Sodom and Gomorrah [3rd example] ,and the towns around them indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire in the same way as these are exhibited as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

"in the same way as these " means these are three examples of God's wrath, not examples of Serpent Seed Scriptures.

Assuming that the only way for a Nephilim (sometimes translated giant, other times defined as 'mighty man' or a 'man of renown') can be born is if his father is an angel does not mean that they could not have been produced any other way.

Please share a scripture that shows being unequally yoked with an unbeliever produces a Nephilim [Giant] as an offspring.

You're doing it again. Begging the question. Your assumption (contained in the question) does not account for Numbers 13:33. If you want to insist that your thought is the only possible correct interpretation, you will need to discount the fact that the Bible states that Nĕphiyl are elsewhere also called sons of Anak.

Who is Anak? Man or angel?

Not it's my turn to ask for Scipture: Please share a scripture that shows that a Nephilim (mighty man/man of renown) must have an angel as their father.

From Matthew Henry's commentary on 2 Peter 2:

here are several examples of the righteous judgment of God, in taking vengeance on sinners, proposed to our serious consideration.

I. See how God dealt with the angels who sinned.

II. See how God dealt with the old world, even in much the same way that he dealt with the angels

III. See how God dealt with Sodom and Gomorrah;

Direct reference to Noah and the flood!

You can say, no that doesn't mean that... all you want but the truth is and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, is a direct reference to the flood and Noah and those days.

For if God did not spare the angels, who are called sons of God, then how much more will He not spare those who bring in destructive heresies and false prophets and teachers...

That is the context, that is what Peter is teaching and using the angels who God punished as an example for us!

Peter links the angels that sinned, with Noah and the flood.

This is interesting Lewis. Are you suggesting the Angels ( as men ) who ate only chewed and swallowed the foods but didn't digest it ? Remember also the premise here is that the Sons of God were the Angels who sinned not the Nephilim which were destroyed by the flood. These anteflood Angels are held in Tartarus it seems.

There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.. Genesis 6:4

There were Nephilim on the earth... interesting phrase.

There were Nephilim on the earth AND ALSO AFTERWARD, WHEN the sons of God came into the daughters of men.

How were Nephilim produced? ... when the sons of God came into the daughters of men.

This is how the scriptures say the Nephilim were produced.

There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants [Nephilim]); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

Came from the Nephilim!

Question: How did the sons of God continue to produce nephilim after the flood?

Answer: They came into the daughters of men, and they bore children to them.

Question: How did the sons of God continue to produce Nephilim, when all men were wiped out in the flood?

Answer: They were not human, but angels. Just as Peter and Jude teach us.

JLB
Yes, JLB. Peter does link them together. Just like he also links Sodom and Gomorrah with them also in 2Pet 2:6. They are linked by the repeated phrase, "If God spared not..."

  • Verse 4 tells us that God didn't spare the angels when they sinned
  • Verse 5 tells us that God didn't spare the old world (but saved Noah)
  • Verse 6 tells us that God didn't spare Sodom
Peter tells us that God also knows how to preserve the righteous (giving another example: Lot) in verses 7, 8 and 9. Then he picks up where he left of and continues to describe characteristics of MEN (false prophets). That's the topic. Take it from me, a moderator, well practiced in delivering reminders to stay on topic, Peter was not talking about angels directly. They were mentioned as examples of judgment, showing that God will also judge the false prophets.

The main topic is False Prophets that have crept in unawares. Subtopics include those that have forsaken the right way (including angels, men other than Noah and his family, Sodom and the cities surrounding, and later another example of those which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam (see verse 15).

Trying to change what Peter was talking about to Nephilim (who were not mentioned at all) fails.

I wonder how long you searched for the translation that said it that way? What translation did you use for your "proof text", by the way? I'm guessing "Youngs Literal"??

Here's the Hebrew: nĕphiyl ben Anak nĕphiyl

We know the word 'ben' means son or sons. The word nĕphiyl is sometimes translated giant, sometimes mighty men. You're hanging your entire doctrine dogmatically on this? By the way, the spies who reported failed to mention angels or their progeny. The rebellious children didn't mention angels when they complained. They didn't say, "Now we have to fight the sons of angels!" Had that been the case I would have thought it would be worthy of mention, wouldn't you? Clearly they were fighting men. The fact that some of the men were also called nephilim argues against your conclusion. Anak was human. So were his sons.

I answered your question.

The only question left is are the sons of God angels or men.

The Nephilim were produced from the sons of God.

Any scripture that comes after Genesis 6:4 that shows the origin of the nephilim, and how they were produced, must be built upon the foundational scripture of genesis 6:4.

Otherwise, we will just wonder where man came from?

Gos created Adam from the dust of the ground.

From there the geology of man is given -

Men are referred to as sons of men.

Women are referred to as daughters of men.

There is no sons of God mentioned in the record of mankind, from Adam to Noah.

Consequently there are no Nephilim mentioned either.

The nephilim were on the earth, as a result of the sons of God, and the daughters of men, having sexual relations.

Not sons of men, and daughters of men.

Sons of God and daughters of men.

The ONLY way scripture defines how Nephilim were produced is WHEN the sons of God came into the daughters of men.

Here is the record of mankind from Adam to Noah, please show me where sons of men reproduced sons of God!

1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died. 6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot Enosh. 7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died. 9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. 10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died. 12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel. 13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died. 15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died. 18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. 21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. 25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died. 28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed." 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died. 32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
