There is salvation in no other, for there is not another name under heaven having been given among men, by which it behooves us to be saved."

Who actually, physically, wrote the "books" of the Bible? They were written by men, not God.

You are dead wrong about this. The Lord wrote it in heaven and it was dictated to men to put ink to paper.

Where do you think men got the idea for Pen Names, and Ghost Writers?

You wrote, "There have to be originals for there to be copies available to be translated into English." So, even though you no longer want to discuss the matter, there are no original texts of the Bible "books" that exist today.

I never disagreed that when Scriptures are "breathed out by God" they come from the breath of the infinite God of justice who doesn't lie? Your accusation of me has no merit and is untrue.

Bye!
You did though! You said, I am a liberal and Liberals do not believe that the Bible was written by God...

Not only are the originals available, you can go online and read them yourself and compare to your scripture. So actually, nothing you claimed is true.

Bye.

I won't go as far as saying Jesus was a liberal or conservative. That seems convenient for the ideaoligically driven.
His Kingdom was/is deeper than that.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not... I never said Liberals do not believe that the Bible was written by God. That is nonsense!

BTW, there are no originals of the Bible books anywhere. They have been lost to time, or until an archaeologist discovers them. All we have today are copies and (unfortunately) they are not all the same.

I'm pretty sure you said it. I guess it could have been edited lately.

Edward, you wrote earlier, "Not only are the originals available, you can go online and read them yourself" and then post strange messages about things I supposedly said. Are you okay? Are you just "pulling my leg"?

Let's take this post... Do you really think that you can go online and read the original texts of the Bible "books"? I have sad news for you: there are no original texts in existence. None!

If you can show us where to go online to read them, please give us the URL. I'm certain that Biblical scholars all over the world will be happy to learn that the original texts actually exist!

I'm not arguing against anything. I am a "liberal Christian" because I follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, not the dogma of any denomination or cult. When I first became a Christian and read the New Testament with an open mind I learned that Jesus was the greatest social liberal that ever was and probably ever will be. (Even though that has nothing to do with the OP).

It seems like you're trying to put me into some ideological box, claiming that I think that somehow the written Word of God isn't the written Word of God. You are totally wrong.

The OP is about "the Biblical inerrancy of the original manuscripts". I'm not sure what you're discussing, but that ain't it.

Sure you are. It just sounds better when you say you are not arguing. I know. You are just 'discussing' these things. That's fine.

Following the teachings of Jesus Christ doesn't identify one as a liberal Christian. And in post #(35) and #(40) you identified yourself as a liberal. Both conservatives and liberal will say they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

No, you put yourself in the box by labeling yourself as a liberal. And in post #(39) you were clear that the books of the Bible were written by men and 'not' God. So, don't go blaming others for your position. That is a common liberal view.

And that is your liberal view, as has been shown.

They might have been inspired by God, but they were still written by human beings.

Your presentation of what I said is deceptive. Why?

Has anyone said that human beings were not involved in the writing of the Bible? Did I say that?

What I have said is that the Bible is the written Word of God. And the 'inspiration' upon human beings to write this Word, resulted in the very words of God Himself.

In other words, the human element, the human involvement, did not take away from the Bible being the written Word of God.

You can google it. Just google dead sea scrolls and watch what all pops up. It's more original than what's in my house. But I don't need to read them anymore, I don't question my Bible's efficacy.

Since you're stuck in your viewpoint I will not discuss this issue with you any further. Whatever you're trying to convince me of, you're wasting your time. I know what I wrote and what I meant. All your distortions prove is that you don't understand what I'm writing (at best) or are just after me because I'm a liberal. Either way, I feel sorry for you.

You just said it again. Do you feel ok? Can you read where you just now identified as a Liberal?! :lol

liberals never hate ,no not, ever .

oh,wait I have personally experienced other wise

Of course I never said that. It's unfortunate that you have experienced the hatred so often expressed by conservatives.

It's probably time to get back to discussing the subject of the OP.

Please don't "go on forever". It has nothing to do with the OP. BTW, may I suggest that you pay more attention to your writing. There are a lot of misspellings, punctuation and grammatical errors, etc. in your post, making it hard to read.
