The seed doesn't. The flesh does.If you are "born again", it would be wise to investigate why the seed that regendered you still causes you to do evil.
You seem so hung up on being 100% sinless in order to be saved at the resurrection. If so, why?
No, you've made it clear that it is so you can become a saved person. You've made this abundantly clear to me in our discussions. That is the works justification gospel condemned in scripture.Love of God.
I grasp fully that sin does not come from the seed of God. It comes from and dwells in the flesh. Read your Bible! You don't seem to be able to grasp that seed can only bring forth after itself.
What does Paul's second visit to the Corinthians have to do with this second blessing of whole sanctification you talk about? No; because we are preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:23 (kjv)).
"No", and then paraphrase what I wrote? No, but to love God means that we keep all the commandments that pertain to love. The commandments are the specifics of the love of the Lord.
If the "flesh" is still alive, it wasn't destroyed and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:6,4)I grasp fully that sin does not come from the seed of God. It comes from and dwells in the flesh. Read your Bible!
His justification of me is manifested by my keeping of His words. So am I. However, neither you nor I are justified through the keeping of His words.
Seed can only bring forth after itself. The seed doesn't. The flesh does.
Read your Bible!
I will not usurp God's final judgement with a self-declared salvation. No, you've made it clear that it is so you can become a saved person. You've made this abundantly clear to me in our discussions. That is the works justification gospel condemned in scripture.
2 Corinthians 1:15 is an evidentiary text in scripture that there is a second benefit; while I would not classify it as a proof text. What does Paul's second visit to the Corinthians have to do with this second blessing of whole sanctification you talk about?
You appeared to be contending for the idea that love is all is needed apart from keeping the commandments. I simply mentioned that if you truly love, you will obey the commandments."No", and then paraphrase what I wrote?
They are inseparable. You appeared to be contending for the idea that love is all is needed apart from keeping the commandments. I simply mentioned that if you truly love, you will obey the commandments.
I think you have a distorted understanding of what it means to seek to be perfect. You're looking at it in the big picture, like a GPA, when you should be looking at it like how you're going to score on your next test.I determine that entire sanctification is a second benefit that is afforded to the believer who is already justified.
The authority of the flesh is what has died. It's not a literal death of the flesh...obviously.If the "flesh" is still alive, it wasn't destroyed and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:6,4)
Gal 5:24..."And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."
You are misusing the analogy.Seed can only bring forth after itself.
Liars, thieves, and adulterers are not reborn of God's seed.
To say otherwise, is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
It isn't a self declared salvation. The Bible tells us how to know that we are saved.I will not usurp God's final judgement with a self-declared salvation.
And yet you denied this when asked about it. That's why I say you are a mess of contradiction. And that therefore a man is not saved unless he has been wholly sanctified.
KEPT blameless, not made blameless. You're working to achieve what you already have and which you got the moment you believed.So, you can reject the idea that 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 is a second benefit if you like;
Anybody who is not seeking after righteousness is simply not a believer for it to matter. We must walk in God's holiness and righteousness to be a Saint worthy of Heaven.
Romans 13
[8] Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
[9] For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[10] Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
[11] And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
[13] Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
[14] But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. - (KJV)
