Charismatics ARE Cessationists

Those alive during Jesus' 2nd coming, not everyone will die, they will be transformed and not die physically.
Is this news to you?

And what does it have to do with the faith healing you're so conserned with as regards keeping on topic?

Focus remember focus?

When hearing the banner ( your faith will heal you O you wernt healed? o ye of little faith) those kinds of statements

Some folks come to mind... Pat Boone"s grandson .... Joni, the young girl who's neck was broken and the testimony she has is out standing.

The about 90 year old lady in the church ,years ago, who on her one leg went to rest home to tell the girls there to GET UP.

Some times we can forget God does not always answere yes!

Whitney,
I am with you on the (I dont have that kind of faith) Please read the passage below and tell me who's faith was the base of the healing?

<DIR>Mat 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

People were healed ,even raised from the dead before the cross, and Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday today and tomorrow.

Yes, they did, and on the cross He took the curse away and said it was finished, we are healed already. If you become sick, say the prayer of faith and receive your healing.

Amen! Jesus never did not heal and He lives in us! Manifest Him by healing and performing miracles in His name! It's an awesome gift!

paul bore the marks of the cross and wasnt healed as he had been stoned and other things

i'm sure he was left with some scars and what was that thorn in the flesh that he prayed for thrice to be removed and God said my grace is sufficent

which is more important?

holiness or wholeness?

i will take the former if that is all i can have.

I have been healed a few times(probably more), in one case I was in denial and would not even admit to myself that something was wrong. A lady(Betty Miller) picked me out of a crowd and asked to pray for my back and my back was healed. So in that case there was really no faith on my part.

Well back to my original question for you.

Are there any sick folks in your church, town ,state?

Why havent you mainfested Him by healing them ?

We have both, we are called to be holy AND Jesus healed us at the cross, we have both in Him.

The Bible never tells us we will not suffer, in fact Peter talks much about it because in it our faith is tested and built up, we persevere - just like Paul. Paul was given the thorn in his flesh, which we do not know what it was, but it was given to him so he would not exalt himself.

What Jesus did for us, was grace, it is sufficient.

I dare you to come to the childrens hospital and preach that.

i believe that it was his body failing him as he is charged with contempable speech(slurred and hard to understand) and he doesnt deny it.

that is a sign of nerve damage

sometimes we are met to be in suffering and have to live with that so that others learn to love the lord in spite of that situation.

let me ask you this, in the long term is you soul more important to the lord or the flesh that he will let die?

i think that the soul is more important.

Well back to my original question for you.

I don't know of any sick people at the moment, but we can also do what the Bible says, too:

James 5:14Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Does James say they MIGHT be healed? NO! He said they would be well!
Why havent you mainfested Him by healing them ?
God has healed people through me.

surely by now, some of these person who were on thier deathbed of all manner of cancer or what not would still be alive god wills them to be.

i know a few that should be alive as they werent chumps.

and i guess paul didnt read up on james.

One of the most important thing we can be caught doing as Christians is believing Him. If we believe Him, then we know we are healed, so it's not really an issue and I don't always have to think about that part of my journey and I can focus on what He has given to me as a ministry.

If you are saved, then you are already healed.

What does James say?

He said if you go to the elders, and they pray IN faith, then that sick person is healed.

How can we deny what the Word says?

1Ti 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

You know where a hospital is children are dying there because you're on an internet forum.

I was saved from a deadly car crash in a way that you would never believe.
Several people from infections, chronic sinus, toe infection and some other weird thing the doctor didn't even know what it was.

Now I told you Hitch, so have at it, deny it happened.
