Charismatics ARE Cessationists

oh my.
so when sin and death (and sickness and disease entered in by Adam), is God just wringing His hands now hoping enough charismatics come to His rescue and undo the results of the fall?

:screwloose

He has given us the truth. It is high time people appropriated it. Too bad they sink low in their comfy pews and don't bother to know the truth except what they lap up at the saucers their unbelieving leaders put out for them, forgetting completely that JESUS CAME TO OUR RESCUE AND UNDID THE RESULTS OF THE FALL!

please tell us how this is done.
cpter & verse.

Believe that everything that Jesus died for and promises is in our spirits already, if we are saved, because that is where Holy Spirit lives within us. We need to appropriate that healing by faith, like every other promise, believing we have it, and we shall. Our minds get in the way of our bodies receiving it. Get your mind in line with God and healing comes.

We have authority over sickness in Jesus Christ. He also tells us that!
Jesus loves to heal us to reveal His power, and because He loves us, and because it draws men to Him for forgiveness of sin, as His healing always did when He lived among us.

AMEN! Thank you Jesus!

I am not trying to dodge anything. A physically dead person would not be dead spiritually - so they still exist, just in a different form.
And still that has nothing to do with the question
God can heal whoever He wants, yet healing the Philistines is off topic because
OFF TOPIC?

No Whitney you cant bring up something and then claim its off topic.
we are talking about how we have the Holy Spirit today, along with His gifts, to heal and perform miracles in His name today.

The problem with personal attacks, for me, is that I feel guilty afterwards - so I am sorry Hitch for attacking you, no excuse, it was just simply wrong of me.

I missed what WOF was and I do not follow any of those people you mentioned, never have. I don't know much about them.

The way you were arguing, it seemed you do not believe in the healings and miracles of God.
Fair enough, and I thought you were a full blown WOF.

sheesh, hello!!!
we die from something.

find me one person that doesnt die and pay for that autopsy and see what they die from

organs fail.

and also what of the idea that paul stated this clearly. that he said god healed timothy as an act of mercy for timothy was nigh unto death. that if he died sorrow would be upon sorrow.

hmm paul must have some weak faith as he didnt get the charismatic memo from tbn.

I did not bring up the Philistines, Hitch, you did.

We are talking about how God heals us because Jesus said "It is finished" at the cross, "by His stripes you are healed"! If we have faith, God will heal us.....

Focus, focus, focus......;)

I am obeying Jesus by not casting my pearls. It is applicable and a good decision in this case.

I am only a laughingstock to those who hate. I am pleased to be considered a fool for Christ.
You referred to a member of the Body of Christ as a swine.

You seem to have trouble remebering what you have posted. I wont buy that you are too dense to notice that my example of the Phillestines was used to highlight their lack of faith. Though they were healed in direct contradiction to several of your posts .

Whitney,
I am with you on the (I dont have that kind of faith) Please read the passage below and tell me who's faith was the base of the healing?

<DIR>Mat 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

But YOU are too dense to realize we are not talking about OT, we did not have the Holy Spirit in the OT now did we? We are talking about the NT, when Jesus went to be with His Father He gave us the Holy Spirit, in which we do healings and miracles through.

AAANNNDDD......Jesus hadn't died yet did He, He didn't say "it is finished" yet, did He?
Get your time periods straight Hitch.

there will be some people who do not die.

for all intents and purposes that rapture isnt promised for us all. and also for its appointed for all men to die then unto judgment

the body must die, but not the spirit

paul states that clearly

for this corruptable must put on incorruptable and this mortal must put on the immortal

he speaks of the seed dying when its planted and new life arises out of the seed

this body we have that persishes is that seed now.

that is what i mean. do you not long for christ?

can a physical body enter into heaven? think about what paul says about the resurecction

and i wont go there on that verse this generation shall not see death to these things be as that would derail this thread.

Correct, and I am not talking about pre-trib rapture either, but that's another thread.

10Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow

People were healed ,even raised from the dead before the cross, and Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday today and tomorrow.

Those alive during Jesus' 2nd coming, not everyone will die, they will be transformed and not die physically.

all that are in christ aren dead but live.

why would paul say this?

for be to absent in body is to be present with the lord?

and the lord said this ye do err in the ressercution for all LIVE in God

for its written i am the God of abraham and issaac and Jacob.

they are with the lord alive in heaven awaiting for the new physical body and new age to come.

The Centurion did and we have no idea if the servant believed or not. Can our faith heal someone who doesn't have faith? I don't know.
