Well, that's not quite all there is to it.

That is all to it, Jesus christ as saviour gives His elect repentance, because He has redeemed them from the curse of the law..

[quote:10oxo89c]Else there would be no need to preach the gospel

The gospel calls the elect to repentance, in this way their gift of repentance which was given to them by Jesus christ will become manifested..The gospel brings to light life and immortality 2 tim 1:

9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:[/quote:10oxo89c]

It isn't quite all because man can choose to repent or he can resist.
Jesus, Himself, calls all men to repent. He does not just call or draw the elect.
Those are the verses you "choose" to ignore. It's your choice to ignore them.
Just as some will resist the call of God to repent.

great another one on calvisnism. why witness then if that is totally true after they will be saved any way.

Very interesting.

Someone posted that God calls the elect to repent. Indeed He does:

Acts 17:30 "... God ... now commands all men everywhere to repent,"

sbg57 i like how you arrogantly twisted that verse. i doubt that you would tell your wife that logic.

That verse pertains to the elect gentiles as well as to the elect jews..

No, the verse refers to "all men everywhere."

I know what it says, and what it means, it means all elect men every where, both jew and gentile..

No he cannot..

You obviously deny the Word of God.

You see CHOOSE and you see RESIST, but you CHOOSE to ignore the Word of God. :shame
Deuteronomy 30:19 said:
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Acts 7:51 said:
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Genesis 19:11
And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

first thing thing first, i meant not to offend
now to finish the thought, we are His bride he cant make us love him, how much more so in the natural.

Since you said man has no free will, then your responses and thoughts are they also from God? When you sin is that from the Lord as well.Does the Lord sin?

That is what I was alluding to.

The elect in the NT is the Overcomer, but .that does not exclude the remainder of mankind.

God is only caling His firstfruits.

Thats your specialty..

I just show you the Word.
It's the Word you keep denying.

Thats all you do is show it, because you sure dont understand it, you are blinder than a bat spiritually..

Are you saying all of mankind will be saved?

Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God are the overcomers.
1 John 5:3-5 said:
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Christ was the firstfruits of "them that slept".
1 Cor. 15:20-23 said:
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
The early church was the firstfruits of the Spirit.
Romans 8:23 said:
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
The bride will be gathered at the harvest.
The tares will be burned up. The harvest will be finished.
