In the clouds

Jesus Christ will physically return at the end of the age, to gather His people at the resurrection/rapture, in which all His people will be caught up into the air, in the clouds to be with Him as He descends down to Jerusalem.
This Christ's return, as described in Thessalonians, reflects the custom of the time in which Paul was writing.
When a king or heroic general (or some other big shot) would visit a city, the people who were loyal to him would go out to meet him and escort him into the city. (Those who didn't like him would try to hide.)
When Christ comes again in the clouds of God's glory, the saints will meet Him in the air and escort Him.

I had a question that came to mind the other day. The Bible says every eye will see Him right? How does this relate to how the earth is? People on opposite sides of the earth do not even see the sun at the same time, as big as it is, and as far away as it is. How can every eye see Him as He comes in the clouds the same way He ascended?

I can only think of two logical conclusions. One is there is something metaphoric about this, and the other is that the entire population of the earth will be on one "side"(for lack of a better word) of the earth.

I honestly have no idea, but it did make me wonder.

There is another option: nearly everyone has a smartphone and/or tablet with camera capabilities, and nearly everyone has at least one social media account of some sort. Then there are TV cameras...

Acts 1 strongly suggests otherwise:

9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
10
And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,
11 and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." (ESV)

Yep . . .the traditional thinking is that Jesus will come and do all the ruling while we are just watching on. But a true Father enjoys it much more when His children are doing also what He is doing. So . . .we are presented with other scriptures which "suggests" we should grow up to do this ourselves while Jesus is the power and the wisdom from within . . while we are just His body . . .allowing Him to Life His Life from out of us. In this we have taken up our cross . . .that is we died and He is alive.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

and:
Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

A better translation being:

Luk 17:20 Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed,
Luk 17:21 nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." (ESV)

But I don't see how any of that addresses the point I made.

There is only one way . . God's way that has always been. We will do it. But we will do it by the Life of God. So everybody will see God in His children doing His things. Like Moses . . .doing great things . . .or rather God. And so we will rule . . . or rather God.

Brothers sisters and children . . . we are destined to rule.

And when it happens everyone will see us. So . . .when does it happen. When we finished growing up.

When God start revealing Proverbs.

Pro 8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

That was the way Solomon did it and that will be our way . . .in Christ.

1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

His second coming

Has been a possibility from His death.

Not true

.(2 Peter 1:14)
Peter Knew that He Would Die before Jesus Returned

(Acts 22:21)
Paul Knew that He Would Go to Rome before Jesus Returned

(Acts 1:8)
The Early Church Knew that They Must Take the Gospel to the World before Jesus Returned

Had He came before any of the above, scripture would be a lie.......

Also how could He have returned before Israel became a nation again?

These are just a few.

Matthew 24 tells us everything that must and shall happen before His return

Hi brother

Good to have a reply. Better than nothing.

Ok . . .there will always be reasons to make excuses for not doing something that one should have done.

But remember . . .then we exclude ourselves from Life that we could have had. So tell me . . .what is there in His second coming that you deem impossible by the Life of Christ in us.
