Is baptism required for salvation?

Everyone comes into this world by water, that is to say, “born of water”.

Only Jesus was came into this world, born of a virgin, which means He came into this world by water and blood.
Earthly wisdom and testimony is not what we have from God ( the wisdom of above)

Everybody who comes into this world is born of flesh, and then is flesh.

Jesus Christ is the only to come by water and of the Spirit, ( not of flesh.) and is that which is born of the Spirit.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

We also become born again of water and of the Spirit. ( to be the same as our Lord Jesus Christ.)

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Our only question left for us is, the water which we must be born with ?

The only answer to be found is:

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Luke 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

If we were left in the flesh ( with fleshy wisdom of this world) we would be in a poor way.

But God gave power to become the sons of God, ( giving the wisdom from above to follow) so we do not follow that we are born of water, as it is understood in this world. We follow that we must be born again of water and of Spirit, ( the wisdom from above) to believe in the name of Jesus Christ ( the name given from above.) to be born not of blood, which is the will of flesh ( not born of flesh) nor of the will of man ( mans will is his wisdom of the earth) but to the will of God which is the wisdom from above that saves us from the death we have in the flesh.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Of course it is a multiple sign that Christ gave regarding Jonah three days and nights in the whales belly.

The Son of man was three days and nights in the heart of the earth. ( to death and hell to receive the keys of death and hell.)

Jonah was thrown into the water of the sea, into the belly of the fish. ( into hell)

Out of the belly of the fish ( out of the belly of hell.) Jonah cried and the Lord heard his voice.

The waters compassed about Jonah, even to his soul, Jonah went down to the bottom, the earth with her bars was about him for ever, yet the Lord brought up his life from corruption.

Jesus was in that heart of the earth, to bring up our lives from corruption, and out of His belly flowed rivers of living water. ( the same as life was given out of the belly of the whale.)

As concerning that God raised up Christ our Lord from the dead, ( after that same three days and three nights, which Jonah was in the whale.) it is to no more return to corruption, as Christ was given the sure mercies of David, for us to believe in.

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Jonah 1:17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Jonah 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

Jonah 2:5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.

Acts 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Just a quick question(thought).

Is baptism an absolute requirement for salvation?

Was the prisoner, whom Jesus said would be in Paradise, baptised?
Jesus came to establish relationship between God and man, not religious ceremonies as an end in themselves. So deathbed conversions are real even if ceremonies the living can do aren’t possible.

The Holy scriptures are able to make us wise to salvation ( to save us)

All scripture is by inspiration of God for instruction in righteousness ( which is what saves us)

The context of 1 John 5:6, is as scripture testifies of it, not as anyone dismisses it as.

This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.
1 John 5:6-8

Where is scripture mentioned?

Who has dismissed 1 John 5:6?

The Gospel of John tells of the beginning with the Word, and how life was in Him, and the life was the light of men.

1 John 1, is an update, because John had handled the word of life, as the life was manifested. ( the Apostles are eyewitnesses of the risen Lord, to see His hands and His feet where the blood had been spilt. This is then confirmed in 1 John 1, how they saw it with their eyes, they looked upon, and their actual hands handled of the Word of life, this is why the Apostle bears witness in 1 john 1, and why they confirm they have seen it, and why they are then showing unto us that eternal life, which they saw, as it was manifested to them.

Amen. Jesus Christ is the Word.

He is the light of the world.

We are saved by belief in the rising of Christ from the dead, which all scriptures point towards.

Jesus came into this world with life, life in the water, life in the blood and life in the Spirit.

Please list the scriptures that teach us about life in the water?

Yes everybody has it manifested, that you wish to conclude that 1 john 5:6, has no context for saving us. That would allow for a private interpretation, and conclusion that the water, blood and Spirit, in that verse are talking about Jesus being born of a virgin. ( and not require acknowledgment that this is testifying about salvation, in the blood water and Spirit of Christ, all of which have life in them, which He shed for us in order to give us the Spirit blood and water of Christ.)

Do you disagree that a virgin who gave birth to a child, would have the blood of her hymen, and her water sac flowing our of her as a testimony that the child coming forth was being born of a virgin?

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14

Our only question left for us is, the water which we must be born with ?

The water He spoke of is the Spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

Why would I disagree that the virgin who gave birth to a man, was the mother of Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 31:22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

But the testimony of John, speaks about the water, blood and Spirit that Christ gives us, at His death and resurrection.

I made a new thread just now in theology, about keeping ourselves from idols, with lots of details, nobody can mistake it.

The believers had the firstfruits of the Spirit.

Of His own will He begat us with the Word of truth, to be a kind of firstfruits of His creratures.

Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and every one that loves Him that begat, ( He begat us with the Word of truth, to b a kind of firstfruits of the Spirit.) love him also that is begotten of Him.

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God. ( to be a kind of firstfruits of the Spirit.)

Jesus Christ who came by water and blood ( the Spirit.) not by water only, but by blood ( which we drink to live by.) and the Spirit bears witness. ( we are a kind of firstfruits of His creatures, of the Spirit.)

Heaven has the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost, they are one.

In earth the three we have are the Spirit, the water, and the blood, they agree in one. ( the Spirit, the water and the blood agree in one, and that one is Jesus Christ our one Lord and one baptism, not two or three. ( 1 Corinthians 8:6.)

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

The world we are testified, hears the testimony given by the world, and by they who are of the world.

If some were of God, they who know God would hear them, and they who are not of God, would not hear.

Does anyone on the forum, hear these testimonies God gave us to believe in ?

Are there only mockers now in the last times, as we were told there shall be, walking after their own ungodly lusts, their mouth speaking great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. Separating themselves, having not the Spirit. (antichrists cannot confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, to give us HIs blood, AND, His water to drink, which are His Spirit.)

1 John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

He that believes, out of the belly of the Messiah flows rivers of living water.

When the centurion saw Jesus ( dying on the cross, the earthquakes) they feared greatly, saying truly this was the Son of God.

After Jesus rose, He said to Thomas to behold the hands of Christ and reach His hand into the side of Jesus ( where out of His belly flowed rivers of living waters for he that believes.) and for Thomas to not be faithless, but believing.

Thomas said, my Lord and my God. Jesus said blessed are they that have not seen, yet have believed. ( that Jesus is our Lord and our God, the Son of God.)

These are written that we might believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that believing we might have life through His name.

If we believe with all of our heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God ( we may be baptised.)

We have a great High Priest that is passed into the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in Him and he in God. ( as out of His belly flowed rivers of living water, when He was pierced, for God to dwell in us and we in God.)

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Who overcomes the world ? He that believes that Jesus is the Son of God. ( believes that Christ came in the flesh, to give us His flesh and blood and water, to eat and to drink.)

Jesus Christ the Son of God, who came by water and blood, and the Spirit bears witness, as we received all three.

We know the Son of God is come, to give us an understanding to know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. ( the water and the blood and the Spirit of Christ is our understanding, and is us being in Him that is true.) This is the true God and eternal life.

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Isaiah 7:14
The OP is regarding baptism.

Here is baptism explained for us, in its simplicity.

Christ had baptism unto death, and then we are to know that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized unto His death. ( that is to be baptized with the same baptism He was baptized of. ( Matthew 20:22-23.)

Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism, ( the baptism Christ had was buried into death.) that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. ( we were baptized into HIs death, which is baptized with the same baptism He was baptized with, that as like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should walk in newness of life, which is being born again.)

Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also we are risen with Him ( to be born again.) through the faith of the operation of God, who raised Him from the dead. ( so we also should walk in newness of life/born again.)

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ, ( we who were baptized unto His death, buried with Him in baptism into death, that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, we also should walk in newness of life.) is born of God. ( born of God is when we are baptized into HIs death, that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, we should also walk in newness of life.)

For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith, to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. ( we were baptized into HIs death, that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even we also should walk in newness of life.)

This is the record that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son, and he that has the Son has life, and he that has not the Son, has not life. ( baptism, baptized unto HIs death, that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, we also should walk in newness of life/risen with Him/born again.) and Jesus gave HIs flesh and blood to eat and drink or we have no life in us. Who eats the flesh of the Son of man and drinks His blood has eternal life, and Christ will rise us up at the last day, which is the record God gave to us of HIs Son, eternal life, which life is in HIs Son. John 6:53-54.

Whosoever is born of God, ( buried with Him in baptism, to be risen again with Him.) sins not, they who are begotten of God ( begat us with the Word of truth/the firstfruits of the Spirit. James 1:18 Romans 8:23.) keep themselves and that wicked one touches them not.

1 John 1:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

The same baptism that Christ had, is required for salvation, to believe we are buried with Christ in baptism, to also be risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God.

Believing that Jesus Christ was put to death in the flesh, crucified through weakness, yet He lives by the power of God.

The Apostles also were weak in Him, but they lived with Him by the power of God toward us, quickened by the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 13:4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Why would I disagree that the virgin who gave birth to a man, was the mother of Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 31:22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

Here is the question I asked —

Do you disagree that a virgin who gave birth to a child, would have the blood of her hymen, and her water sac flowing our of her as a testimony that the child coming forth was being born of a virgin?
