She had it done when she was at college ...
PS: You said she was like a daughter to you, but it would have been just as well if her real mom wasn't too surprised by it when she first saw the tattoo.
Blessings.

I think I am .
i didnt need the first one but it was special to me i dont feel there is another symbol i am as attached to,i think i nailed it with the crescent moon.Yes we are all different its so much of a blessing when you finally believe it for yourself it seemed it would never happen for me lol but God brought me to it.
It's normal for me. Oh, the last time I went to a "parlor" was with my daughter-in-law who wanted to get her tragus pierced for an earring.
Personally? I don't see the difference. I went as her "Guardian" and with her mother's permission.
...
im on the barrier island till Tuesday of next week reading. you wouldn't want to see these elderly women In the nude with that tats...
She says she just never thought about them being sinful. The younger generation has grown up with average people getting tats.
I just read today in the latest edition of The Army Times, that they are coming down on tatoos.
Everyone is being checked for what they have, and if the Army doesn't like it, it will have to be removed or covered.
From here on in, everyone with a tatoo will be checked when being transferred to a new post for new tatoos and to see that people stay within the rules of the Army.
It seems that Christians with tatoos are being thrown into the same category as everyone else.
No separation from the world here.
It doesn't really matter to me if Christians have tattoos or not. We are Christians inwardly not outwardly. I don't like tattoos but I'm not going to reject anyone with a tattoo.
True OhFarock. Yes I did respond to the pool
On these forums handy said:Well, at age 17, my son wanted a tattoo....being that I have "ONE"..I sat my son down and we talked....I got my first tattoo when I was 46..I along with my father who at the time was 71 and my three sisters all got our first tattoo together...we all got a family tattoo. And just this past year, ..my 71 year old mother got one .. I told him that if he did get a tattoo, that I would not only go along with him, but I would also pay for it under one condition...that I had to approve of the tattoo...his design was a cross with a banner on it ..How could I not approve? (source: circleofmoms.com )
While I would never get a tattoo, I don't have a problem with the idea of a Christian woman getting one on her ankle, calf, shoulder or arms... just not that big a deal to me.
The gender aspect should be the same for a women or a man, but since you did say a women then I would have no problem with that of a women owning her own parlor, but needs to be discreet.
Sandy, hi!
Thanks for your response.
Did you also respond to the poll?
.@ohfarouk. I have been around the block a few times. I know they do have them. if was charged with the mcm code for what I did I would have done time at leavonworth and or any male regional confinement facility.
home? its not far.less then 10 miles from my house to the alma lee loy bridge( named after a devout Christian whom is still alive and I have met). I go there at least half a month to read. well I see them in the mainland too.not all the wealthy live on the barrier island.i will send you a picture from google earth of this area.jasoncran: Have a good trip home today from the island. I guess I wouldn't want to see the ladies you describe, either, in the state you describe, though maybe they're not really complete bare. I guess we are talking in general terms about things here and in this thread.
Blessings.
I guess for our family the question of whether or not to be tattooed was already made as I had 12 tats and my hubby had 4 when we were first saved. Certainly the style and reason for our tats changed after being saved. Five of our 6 kids are also inked [ages 28-35] ..(from Christian hyphen tattoos dot com )
I do not have tattoos and never will. I think our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and therefore we should not deface it. I also wonder what those tattoos will look like in 40 or 50 years. Pretty funny on an old man or woman. Well, maybe not a man, but certainly on a woman!
On the other hand, my ears are pierced. Maybe that is wrong too?..
