God's Redemptive Purpose in Christ Jesus before the world began, required by His Purpose sin to enter into the world !

In the Eternal counsel of God

In the Eternal counsel of God, The Everlasting Covenant, it was determined that this world would be created to manifest the Riches of God's Grace and His Manifold Wisdom Towards His Elect Through Christ Jesus Eph 2:7

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Eph 3:8-11

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

This was God's Intention when He first said, Let there be Light Gen 1:3

And it was for this cause that Adam's sin had been also decreed, to make sinners and death, in order for the sinfulness that God's Elect did incur by it, For this was Purposed that God may be Glorified through and by His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Surety Head and Saviour of His Elect World, the Church, The Israel of God. What Paul writes in Eph 2:7 was not a mere afterthought or an emergency backup plan when Adam sinned , But what God had designed and arranged before the world began !

God Created this World specifically for an Redemptive Purpose centered in Christ Jesus, its called God's Eternal Purpose Eph 3:11

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

From the Time God said:

Gen 1:1-4

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

When He said that, it was in pursuit of the fulfillment of His Eternal Purpose, which was Redemptive, centered in Christ Jesus.
And God took counsel with Himself to determine how, through Whom, and by Who's power His redemption would take place.

And God took counsel with Himself to determine how, through Whom, and by Who's power His redemption would take place.

God Created this World specifically for an Redemptive Purpose centered in Christ Jesus, its called God's Eternal Purpose Eph 3:11

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

From the Time God said:

Gen 1:1-4

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

God's Redemptive Purpose in Christ Jesus before the world began, required by His Purpose sin to enter into the world !

There is no logic to this statement. Its like saying God purposed sin (opposite to His Character) just so He could redeem them. When the reality is that because He FOREKNEW they would sin He prepared the Lamb that they may be reconciled.

John O

God before the world began, ordained that sin would come into this World for a Eternal Redemptive Purpose, in order to bring Christ into the World. As soon as sin was committed by adam and eve, God revealed that Eternal Purpose of Christ to them Gen 3:15

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

So all that had hitherto transpired beforehand with the serpent, Adam and Eve and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, was according to God's Predetermined Purpose and in pursuit of another predetermined event Acts 2:23

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Acts 4:27-28

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

Yes, what happened in the garden in Gen 3 was no less determined to be done than Christ's redemptive was, in fact, it served that purpose ! If we do not believe this wholeheartedly, we do not believe in the True God, and are but idolaters !

To Preach the unsearchable riches of Christ !

Eph 3:8

8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

That sin was purposed in the World by God is understood by the fact that God had designed before the world began or before it was an speck of dust, that the Apostle Paul would preach among the gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ [See 1 Cor 2:7] Eph 3:8,11

8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

So adam's transgression was by the skillful design of God in Christ, for in all things He [Christ] must be given the preeminence; Now for those of us who teach and believe that the Eternal Purpose of Christ is a backup plan because things went awry with adam and he brought sin into the world, then we have it backwards, and we are giving adam's creation purpose preeminence over Christ, and God's Eternal Purpose in Him and over the unsearchable Riches of Him and His Grace that God Eternally Purposed !

Yes God caused sin into the World !

That God decreed and purposed sin into His on purpose, that Adam's sin was not only permitted but actually determined by by God, this is taught by the Apostle Paul here Rom 8:20-21

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Paul does not deny that Adam had no rational and volitional responsibility in this matter, for he did, but God had decreed, determined that Adam would deliberately disobey and bring the fall of man and His creation into bondage, so Paul says he [Adam as the physical head of creation] was subjected to vanity or sin, by God, because God did it in Hope ! The word vanity means perverseness's, which means:

willfully determined or disposed to go counter to what is expected or desired; contrary.

2.
characterized by or proceeding from such a determination or disposition: a perverse mood.

3.
wayward or cantankerous.

4.
persistent or obstinate in what is wrong.

5.
turned away from or rejecting what is right, good, or proper; wicked or corrupt.

Now God subjected His Creation through Adam to rejecting that which was right, to waywardness.

The writer who may had this mind wrote Ps 90:3

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

So God did this in Hope ! What hope ? This Hope, the Hope of the Gospel Col 1:5,23,27

For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

God had prepared this Hope in Vs 5 in Heaven, for some of them before the foundation Matt 25:34

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

The Hope is also that Redemption that Christ's Death brings the whole Creation, and of course His People !

No God is not the cause of it. Though I think he did create it and oddly enough He proclaim ALL of His creation as good.

I believe we all have an inclination to do evil in otherwords its in our nature. Our hearts and minds formulate evil plans and thoughts much of the time that is called iniquity. But the thing is, without this thing called evil we would have no such thing as freewill. Once we act upon or carry out those evil thoughts that is called sin. But we have a choice we can choose to to sin or we choose to rule over it.

Yes God caused sin into the World ! cont

You see the world was created specifically for this Eternal Redemptive Purpose in Christ Jesus Eph 3:9-11

Which Purpose is the Hope that God subjected the Creation unto Vanity for Rom 8:20-21 !

So regardless of what unlearned and foolish men and women say or how they oppose the Truth, God did decree the fall of man, that God is the First Cause of Adam's sin, having subjected him to perverseness, for His Eternal Redemptive Purpose.

It does not matter if we say that this doctrine makes God the Author of Sin, because the Truth, God is the Author of sin from a Causative standpoint, His Eternal Purpose in Christ is what caused Adam to sin in an accountable fashion and for the whole creation to suffer the consequences of death and creating its need for Redemption, for to deny this shows ignorance of God, and His Christ, and is Eternal Purpose !

To Be Glorified by Christ !

God's Eternal Purpose in Christ Eph 3:11 consisted in He being Glorified by Jesus Christ in His finishing His Redeeming Work Jn 17:4

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. This Work was given before the World began Prov 8:31

This glorifying His Father on the Earth, was the Main Purpose for this World's Creation, yes it exceeded the Creation of Adam in the garden, in fact Adam was Created in the Garden for the pursuit of this God's Eternal Purpose !

In order for this Eternal Purpose to be accomplished, God did decree or foreordained sin, for God's people and His Creation could not be redeemed from sin, unless God caused it to commit sin !

Before this World was Created, God had already purposed how He would be Glorified thereby, and how He would make men perfectly and Gloriously Blessed, and He willed the means to that end; The end and cause of sin being in existence, was for God's Glory, which made it be necessary; for if it [sin] would not have been, then how would God make known His Mercy unto Eternal Life ? Jude 1:21

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Note: Eternal Life was always to be a mercy given from the Eternal Transactions of the Everlasting Covenant, and so this mercy is from Everlasting to Everlasting Ps 103:17

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

It was never to be something we get by performance of conditions by us. If sin had not been, God's Love to His Elect would not be perceived, nor had it been revealed in sending Christ to be a propitiation for our sins 1 Jn 4:9-10

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 Jn 3:16

Hereby perceive or know we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

God, before the World began, determined to shew forth His Love, His Great Love for us, the Elect, by quickening us while we were dead in trespasses and sins Eph 2:4-5

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Jn 3:16

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

This He Purposed in Christ Eph 3:11 before Adam was created, and for which purpose Adam was created for !

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Yes, God caused, determined sin into the Earth for this Purpose ! If we cannot agree with this, we remain in darkness and ignorance of God !

God the cause of sin and why ! cont

For if there had not been sin, there would be no need for Christ coming into the World, Neither no need for His Obedience to death, which was the Supreme Purpose of the law of God because by it, God says this about His Law Isa 42:21

21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Nothing more could please the Lord more for the Honor of His Law, if Adam would not have sinned, it would not have did more to Magnify the Law and make it Honourable as Christ was Purposed to do before the World began.

Now understand this, if the will of man or the devil had been the First Cause and primary Cause of sin entering into God's Creation, then the will of man or Satan would be the First Cause of God's Eternal Purpose !!, and men or Satan would be the Chief cause for the Salvation praise Song Rev 7:10; 19:1

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

For if man is the original cause of sin and not God's decree of Eternal Purpose, then it would be that without man's will, salvation would not have been, and So, God's Eternal redemptive Purpose was not originally from God, but from the will of man, and so God's Eternal Purpose was a response to the will of His creature ! However this contradicts the scriptural principle taught here Eph 1:11

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

if mans will or Satan's will determined sin into the World before God's Will, then mans will or Satan's will determined Salvation, which is the philosophy of the man of sin 2 Thess 2:4

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Man would be God, if he determined by His sin or will, mans salvation !

Weather God is the cause if evil I don't know (people like David Pawson say no)
but he had to allow it because if there was no evil, two attributes of God could not have been understood by man, namely, His Justice and His merciful nature.

Job 2
10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Weather God is the cause if evil I don't know

I know, He was and is, for this World was Created by God for a Redemptive Purpose, a Purpose that He required evil and sin to accomplish His Purpose in Christ !

Since it is impossible for someone to be higher than God or precede God in existence, then there is no one qualified to give God an official I.D.

Therefore the way I see it, sin and evil happens because of lack of faith within the creation. That is why God says I form the Light and create evil.

Isaiah 45:7 KJV

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Evil is here is put for war and its attendant miseries. I will make peace for the Israelites, and destroy Babylon by war. I form light, and create darkness. Now, as darkness is only the privation of light, so the evil of war is the privation of peace.

Well said. Yes, and lies are the usurping of Truth that is taken for granted in ignorance. One then must come full circle to have understanding and that is why there is a place for the circumstance of sin. The prodigal son is the sojourner of that circle.

This world was created for a redemptive purpose, for Christ's death for sin was determined and ordained before the world began, in accordance with this redeeming purpose Acts 2:23

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

1 Pet 1:20

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Now it is plainly taught that Christ's redeeming death was foreknown and foreordained BEFORE the foundation of the World, before Adam was a speck of dust, for the redemptive purpose by blood spoken of in 1 Pet 1:18-19

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

So when God created Adam, it was in alignment , arrangement within the redemptive purpose in Christ Eph 3:11

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Col 1:16

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

It cannot be made more plainer that all things, to include man in adam, were Created for Christ's redemptive purpose, and not that Christ's redemptive purpose was a backup plan to God foreseeing adam would sin. Thats blasphemy and elevating adam's importance above that of Christ's and giving adam the preeminence in Creation, and Christ a secondary backup plan !

However, Adam was made for Christ's redemptive Purpose so he must sin and by that ,plunge the world into sin and death, for adam by sinning only did what God purposed him to do, just like He purposed the people to do what they did when they betrayed Christ to death Acts 4:27-28

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

This principle applies to Adam and his sin also, he, eve, the serpent were gathered together that day in the garden Gen 3 to do whatsover thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done, and this determination is what caused adam to sin willfully. I challenge anyone to prove by scripture what I have said here not to be correct !

Mercy from Everlasting unto Everlasting !

That God created this world for a Redemptive Purpose centered in Christ Jesus, and that this Eternal Redemptive Purpose introduced sin and evil into God's World , this is true because before the World began or ever before it was made, God had purposed mercy for the miserable and fallen sons of God, hence David comprehended this Purpose of Mercy as expressed here Ps 103:17

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

So what does it mean that the Lords mercy is from Everlasting ? How often do we read this term in scripture " from everlasting " ?

Here is a verse that relates to the question Prov 8:23

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Mich 5:2

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

The reason why this Mercy is said to be from everlasting, because it was from Everlasting in the Eternal Counsels of the Everlasting Covenant, that God purposed the vessels of Mercy Rom 9:23

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

This is all according to the riches of His Glory, it is also because it was then the Everlasting Covenant was formed, Had the Elect never sinned, this Eternal Purpose of Mercy would not have had occasion to be manifested to the Sons of men Prov 8:31

31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

And all this was according to the riches of His Grace and Glory in Christ Jesus !
