Is the Law of God dead? And if yes, how?

It is very interesting that you quote from the Old Testament only to explain the New Covenant!

This is what my Bible clearly says: "For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace" Romans 6:14

"This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?" Galatians 3:2-3

"For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them.” Now, that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “the righteous one will live by faith.” However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “The person who performs them will live by [t]them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Galatians 3:10-14

All from the New Testament!

I will not discuss this with you any longer. I know exactly what the Bible says regarding law and faith: they are mutually incompatible. I live under the New Covenant.
my quotes are all from nt - are you also of the opinion that Jesus is ot

i thought you could at least find the quote of God talking about the new covenant in the nt on your own - or are you discarding that because it is a quote of the ot? - if so i guess you will have to cut out and throw away 4/5 of the bible and also any ot quotes in the 1/5 you keep -

Well, at least we got to a point of basic honesty
I have never denied that I have been or am being tempted.
It is part of life, and the devil's only way to get one off the narrow path.
I view temptation as being:
A. of the tempter
B. being lawless thoughts
As it is the lawless who have lawless thoughts, it may be wise to walk in the Spirit instead of in the flesh.
Then you can resist the temptations of the devil.
As such my relationship with God is not a one sided affair, understanding the above also puts my flesh in His Crosshairs
Get it?
Your flesh should have been crucified, with the vile affections and lust, (Gal 5:24), at your baptism into Christ. (Rom 6:6)
The simplicity of God's Words is that He is always for the good
and, simultaneously
Always against the bad
Agreed.
Whenever we think we are only good, I would consider that a basic deception of the tempter transpiring in his victims via spiritual blindness
To agree with that statement would indicate I deny the Lord who purchased me with His blood.
Everyone does both good and evil. There is no wiggle room on this matter, to me
That is not true.
God granted us the gift of repentance whereby we can turn from sin permanently.
So, if God is for us, He Is, then God is also simultaneously against the tempter, his thoughts, words and actions
Agreed, so why do you think all do both good and evil?
God does win some battles.
The law therefore is my ALLY in these matters, at a minimum, alerting me to the reality of my internal construction, that being good and evil
And even the good claim can be a little iffy, in light of the fact that technically speaking any good we do is also marred by evil, simultaneously, just as Paul notes extensively in Romans 7, applied personally to himself and the "no longer I", the evil present with him, which I clearly can see as temptations of the tempter
Your "internal construction" needs a real turn from sin...so you can be an ex-sinner; and crucifixion of the flesh...so you can walk in the Spirit; and rebirth from God's incorruptible seed...so you can't bring forth the fruit of the devil.
Short version, Paul was not just Paul, not is anyone else in the eyes of scripture only a person
?
Scripture sees us as Jesus noted, with The Eyes of Mark 4:15
Scripture sees some that way, but others are seen in the light of Mark 4:20..."And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred."

I'm praying for you.

read what God says about the new covenant - He said the law remains and something new is given to everyone

your example show paul breaking his own rule as per your understanding
Is it a sin to refrain from circumcision?
Is it a sin to eat pork?
Is it a sin to travel 50 miles an Saturday evening?

God said what the new covenant would be - if you read only paul's words i guess you can do that - Matthew 4:4 to me says God has all the say so - meaning that what paul said will have to agree with God - not your anti-nomian misunderstanding
Are we to continue stoning witches?

The laws written upon our heart are the laws we still follow within the greatest being love and the second love you neighbor as you love yourself.

blockislandtimes.com - The New Covenant

The New Covenant
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jeremiah 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The new covenant that God promised through Jeremiah involves three things.

1. God's law becomes internal.
In the end, it didn't work for God to give people His law written on tablets of stone, because their hearts were still of stone. The law remained external to them, never fully internalized as basic principle's for living. Even when they did obey, they were like people obeying the speed limit just to avoid getting a speeding ticket, not people who instinctively drive at the limit because they know it is the safest thing to do. God says "I'm going to change that. I'll put my law inside them. I will write it with my own finger on their hearts.

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

2. We have direct knowledge of God
Here is what the Lord said to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
The Hebrew word for "know" here is the same word used in "Adam knew Eve his wife and she conceived." It means an intimate personal knowledge that is only possible when two persons are commited to one another. With God, to know Him is to love Him and be obedient to His commands and statures as they are not burdensome as they are written upon our heart internally. If we truly know God then we will do His will as it is in heaven, so be here on earth. To know God it comes through knowing the Bible (God's written word), through Spiritual experience and through faith. To know Him is to obey Him.

3. We are forgiven
In the new covenant God said, "I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." God does not forget His promises or His lost sheep, or His laws. The only thing God forgets is our sins. In the new covenant you can be forgiven and the relationship can be restored. First we receive forgiveness of sins. Then we experience direct knowledge of God. Then His Spirit changes us internally as He writes His laws upon our heart.

I don't suppose Jeremiah had any idea that his vision of the new covenant would one day refer to a crucified Messiah. But, when Jesus died on the cross He sealed the new covenant by His blood between God and you, offering you forgiveness, direct knowledge of God, and a new nature that is to obey God. This new covenant is for all who will come to Him with a humbled heart and God will forgive them.
amen - Jeremiah 31:31-34 also found in Hebrews 8:8-12

the law continues - the new ability to live God's laws is given to everyone - and forgiveness of sins is granted to all in a lasting way - thus God's words confirmed in person Matthew 4:4 - Matthew 5:19 - Mark 7:9 - Mark 7:12 -Luke 11:46 - Matthew 23:4 - Matthew 23:4

and for the paulian sect of christianity that believes paul changed God's words to anti-nomian Romans 3:31 - Acts 2:14 - Acts 21:20 - Acts 2:14 - Acts 21:20

Is it a sin to refrain from circumcision?

it is not a sin - it is unwise - Matthew 5:19

God didn't say anything about travel - that is manmade - you haven't read God's laws so you can't tell man's laws from God's

You are adding to scripture (in Post #400).
i'm not - but you are misunderstanding paul's message - which is fine - it makes no difference to me - i am happy - you are happy i hope - so continue as you are

what you do doesn't bother me - you can live how ever you wish - but it seems to bother you how i live - why? - because i have proven by my lifestyle that what you think paul says is impossible is actually easily possible? - i don't get tempted to sin by God's holy laws - i am living God's laws by His Spirit/faith/grace - sin was in the world before the law as per the flood - i believe paul confirms God - you believe Jesus was ot

It sure was unwise in the old days before government inspections and rules.
But not anymore.
Especially after it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer..."For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained." (1 Tim 4:4-6)
I personally trust this scripture to keep me healthy while eating ham and bacon.

I believe adhering to the Law, besides the big nine, was OT.
What is now written in my heart is...Love God with every fiber of my being, and love my neighbors as I love myself.

You mean to tell me that if the USA, or wherever you are from allows it, you would kill someone for witchcraft?
That isn't the law I have written on my heart.
good for you - you don't understand witchcraft either - or the sins that causes canaan to be eradicated - which is fine - when you see what kinds' of atrocities are committed in the names of these pagan religions and you stand in God's face and call Him an evil doer the blood of the victims of these vile practices will cry out against you - look Hopeful you either stand with God or against Him - if you don't like something He says you need to talk to God - all of us have to do that avout all the things that seem wrong to us - everytime i questioned God He alsways showed me why He did or said what He did - your fight isn't with me - it's with God

it's ok - your issue is with God not me - i will leave you to God

good for you - i leave you to it - there is nothing more for me to say at this point

You are going on tangents now.
Start a witchcraft thread.

It isn't a sin...but...you will "leave me to God"?
That looks kinda threatening.

I thank you for leaving me to God, my redemption and the founder of my new covenant.
how is leaving you to God threatening?

amen to the last part of what you said

besides the big nine
Who do you only say the "big nine" as there were seven to begin with given to Adam before the flood and to Noah after the flood. As the generations grew so was the need for more laws as men continued to transgress the laws of God until there ended up being 613 laws. Beginning with Genesis 2:16 the Babylonian Talmud listed seven commandments given first to Adam and then again to Noah after the flood. The seven make up the first parts of the ten that God gave to Moses on Mt Sinai in Exodus 20.

Noahic Laws:
Not to worship idols.
Not to curse God.
To establish courts of justice.
Not to commit murder.
Not to commit adultery or sexual immorality.
Not to steal.
Not to eat flesh torn from a living animal.

Mt. Sinai Laws:
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make idols.
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.

There are laws (commandments) of God within the 613 that were especially written just for the Hebrews pertaining to the rituals of the Temple, sacrifices, festivals, Torah, Kohanim and Levites, the King and the Nazarite.

Then there are the existing moral laws (commandments) for all of us to still follow as in prayers and blessings, love and brotherhood. The poor and unfortunate, treatment of the Gentiles, Marriage, divorce and family. Forbidden sexual relations, business practices, employees and servants. Vows, oaths, swearing, Court and Judicial procedures. Injuries and damages, property and property rights, criminal laws. Prophecy, idolatry and all its practices as the moral laws (commandments) are what are written upon our heart in how we obey them through the greatest commandment of love and the second greatest how we treat others
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The only thing Jesus has fulfilled is the righteousness of the laws fulfilling that of the Temple and it's sacrifices.
