Here is my vote.

Let me cast it.

"Jesus IS the RESURRECTION". , and He IS "LIFE", eternal.
John wrote, ..." so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life".

Answer). = if you have the One who IS Eternal Life, ( "Christ IN you, the hope of Glory") (" I AM the way the truth and the LIFE" ), then that is the final answer.
There is no other Eternal Life then Jesus, who IS Eternal Life.

In regard to living after death of the body and the resurrection per the head of the body of Christ.
John 11 NIV
“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Key verse.
  • whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

This denotes a continuing in believing, which results in never dying.

Do not be astonished at this, because an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear his voice and they will come out—those who have done good things to a resurrection of life, but those who have practiced evil things to a resurrection of judgment.
John 5:28-29 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 5:28-29&version=LEB

Here it is clear who will come forth in the resurrection of life... those who have done good.

28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28-29

  • those who have done good, to the resurrection of life,

Paul said it this way -

  • But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
Romans 2:3-8

In regard to living after death of the body and the resurrection per the head of the body of Christ.
Excellent observation and excellent foreshadowing resurrection example (Lazarus) of The Son of God giving life to those whom He loves who are physically dead now.

So the sisters sent out a message to Him, saying, “Lord, look— the one whom You love is sick”. And having heard, Jesus said “This sickness is not leading to death, but for the glory of God, in order that the Son of God may be glorified through it”.
Now Jesus was loving Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
John 11:3-5 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 11:3-5&version=DLNT

But what about those living now (living in an hour that “now is” in which they are physically living though spiritually dead); Are spiritually dead (though physically alive) persons being born again, to life which is eternal?

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives-life-to them, so also the Son gives-life-to the ones whom He wishes . ...
Truly, truly, I say to you that the one hearing [
present tense, not post resurrection] My word and believing the One having sent Me has eternal life. And he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
John 5:21,24 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 5:21,24&version=DLNT
Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones having heard will live.
John 5:25 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 5:25&version=DLNT

If a post-resurrection life is given to those whom He loves and it’s eternal, isn’t a pre-resurrection life given to those whom He loves “just as” eternal?

I think Lazurus died again as he wasn't raised in a new glorified body. The resurrection on the last day was the resurrection of us all that we will never die as Martha believed my brother will rise again on the last day. I think Jesus's point in regard to resurrections was "not without me" and that He had authority to give life at any time. Lazarus was raised by Jesus's will and was given as a testimony to all, (as it wasn't done in a corner), that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God. Those were Jesus's claims. And the Jewish leaders determined at that that Jesus had to go as the who nation would follow Him because of all the miraculous signs and Rome would take their place away from them. As the high priest stated, "its better for the one man to die then the whole nation to perish."

John 6:57
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

His body died again but not his soul.

Correct. Including giving an eternal spiritual life to those whom He loves.

Are spiritually dead (though physically alive) persons being born again, to life which is eternal?

Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. John 6:57

Feeds is continual. Not a one time thing.

For man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Which is why Paul exhorted them to continue in the faith.

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” Acts 14:22

  • We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

Since God said it was by His grace through faith that He sent His only begotten Son into the world that all who will believe by faith will have life eternal. Ephesians 2:8; John 3:16.

Okay. Since you voted obviously yes to the question;
Is the Resurrection of Life eternal?
is it not obviously just as true that those who are spiritually dead (yet physically alive) are made spiritually alive eternally at their spiritual re-birth?

Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones having heard will live.

A whosoever (we which believe), John 3:16, are those that are renewed by the Spiritual rebirth, John 3:5-7, and have confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior, Romans 10:9, 10. All were Spiritually dead in Christ, but by grace can be Spiritually renewed by Gods free gift of grace that they now have Gods promise of eternal life, 1 John 2:25, with Him when Jesus returns and calls all to rise from their graves, John 5:28,29.

Spiritual rebirth means just that being Spiritually made alive again/born again as the inner man (spirit/soul) is made brand new. We are made Spiritually alive and when Christ returns whether we are in the grave or yet alive at His coming we who are in Christ will rise as we are then changed from this mortal to immortal and corruptible to incorruptible, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58, as it is not known what we will look like when we are caught up to Jesus other than we will be like him, 1 John 3:1-3.

Spiritual rebirth means just that being Spiritually made alive again/born again as the inner man (spirit/soul) is made brand new.
I agree.
Spiritual birth is a spiritually dead person being made spiritually alive by God (The Holy Spirit).
Resurrection to Life is the physically dead person (yet spiritually alive) being made alive by God (The Father) eternally.

But you are not answering my question relative to Jesus’ teaching in John 5:25 as compared to your answer relative to John 5:28-29.

Here it is again:

Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones having heard will live. For just as the Father has life in Himself, so also He gave to the Son to have life in Himself.
John 5:25-26 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 5:25-26&version=DLNT

Is it not obviously just as true that those who are spiritually dead (yet physically alive) are made spiritually alive eternally at their spiritual re-birth?

Yes it is obvious that those who are physically alive do become Spiritually alive eternally when they are Spiritually born again.

Please parse the verse to show that one must continue to believe in order to never die.

This question is asked because Jesus was clear about who shall never perish (die). Those He GIVES eternal life. John 10:28

From that verse, one can be very sure that never perishing is solely based on receiving the free gift of eternal life. No other condition is mentioned for never perishing.

One only has to back up to v.24 in order to KNOW when one possesses the free gift of eternal life:
v.24 - “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me HAS (possesses) eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

One only has to read verse 24 in context with what Jesus said through verse 28, to be able to rightly divide the word of truth, which shows us those who "hear" with the intent of doing what they "hear" and believes, which means obeys [continually] what they heard has eternal life, which is relationship with Him; ie being joined to Him or "in Him" which is summed up in verse 29.

24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:24-29

  • those who have done good, to the resurrection of life
  • those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

as it is written

5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, Romans 2:5-8

God who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:

  • eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
  • but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath

Like those who are in Him for a while, then removed from Him, they had eternal life from the Vine as long as they were in Him.
Once they were removed from Him, they no longer had they eternal life they once had, when they were in Him.

  • Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;... John 15:2
