What do you think that fire is?
It is the spirit of God and all of his Holiness and Wonder. Who can describe such a love.

What do you think that fire is?
Yes,a person who has truly asked God into their life at some point will go to heaven if they fall away. But who knows what those rewards represent? It could be a huge issue to lose rewards. We do not know for sure until we get there.Good stuff FreeGrace.
The rewards and temporal blessings that God has for the believer have basically been put on the scale of "A piece of candy." " Thats ALLLLL a believer loses is rewards?!"
Those rewards and Temporal blessings God has for the believer are much bigger than we can imagine and to denigrate those things to ," thats all we will lose is rewards?!" Is a shame.
1 Cor 2:9 NASB~~but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."......This doesn't say,"...All that God has prepared for those that believe on Him or who are Christians." It is for those that LOVE him.
Rom 8:28~~NASB~~And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
This does not say ,"All things work together for Good to those who are 'believers' or 'christians'." It is to those who LOVE Him.
The rewards and blessings are unimaginable to us, and to casually say,"This is Just about rewards?!" Is indicative of a believer that does not LOVE Him.
The Holy Spirit?Judgment? It is the spirit of God and all of his Holiness and Wonder. Who can describe such a love.
The Holy Spirit?Judgment?
Context, my brother. That's what determines meaning. Every time. What dictates the meaning of the term inherit the kingdom is Jesus and His use of the phrase on the very Day this phrase will have its fulfillment.
Salvation..Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Yep.This phrase is spoken to them that have been granted access to God's Kingdom on the day of Judgement.
Nope. That is naive. When inheritance is tied to works, reward is in view. Every time.Every time we see this phrase in scripture, it means just exactly what Jesus said to those on Judgement Day.
Yep. For salvation.Everyone who does not inherit the kingdom will here these words...
Depart from Me you cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil...

Fire can be used in the sense of testing, or proving, like gold is tested for purity by fire. What do you think that fire is?
This says it all. How in the world could anyone claim that the free gift of eternal life can be revoked?Romans 11:29
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Yes,like an indian giver.God is not an indian giver. This says it all. How in the world could anyone claim that the free gift of eternal life can be revoked?
We do know Kathi, It IS a huge issue to lose rewards. Just take the reign for instance, we can't even imagine what it is to reign with a perfect King ,let alone live with Him. To not only live with Him But Reign with a perfect King. It is beyond imagination, it is ours for the taking, and we can LOSE it. It is a HUGE issue. and that is not to mention all the other rewards and blessings for those that love Him.Yes,a person who has truly asked God into their life at some point will go to heaven if they fall away. But who knows what those rewards represent? It could be a huge issue to lose rewards. We do not know for sure until we get there.
Me registered tribal Indian, so don’t give me problems about my choice of clichés. HOW kemo sabe, or my faithful friend, and if others wanna twist words I might bring out the old Red Skin metaphor. This says it all. How in the world could anyone claim that the free gift of eternal life can be revoked?
I know it sounds silly Kathi, and some say its a matter of semantics, but Gods word does not say we ask God into our lives. He says "come to me" A spiritually dead person does not ask God to come into their depraved lives and Heart. He asks us to come to Him.Yes,a person who has truly asked God into their life at some point will go to heaven if they fall away. But who knows what those rewards represent? It could be a huge issue to lose rewards. We do not know for sure until we get there.
Yes, one more. Why isn't Matthew 18:23-35 NASB verses that say salvation can be lost???? He was forgiven, and then he had his debt reinstated. Remember, you said your doctrine is the one that takes the plain words of scripture for what they say, and mine does not.Primarily because there are NO verses that SAY that our salvation can be lost. Any more questions?
Correct. A willful lifestyle of unrepentant sin is what walking away from the free gift of God's forgiveness looks like.I suggest you start reading JLB's posts. He's added "sinful lifestyle" as among those things that will get your salvation revoked.
That's what it basically comes down too, they lose rewards at the Bema seat.. not salvation.
Good stuff FreeGrace.

It means that anyone who does not inherit the kingdom will not be granted access into God's Kingdom.
Unless you can find the words loss of rewards in this statement that Jesus made to those WHO DID NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM.
'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Where in this verse do you see the words loss of rewards?
Burning in hell is no loss of rewards, it is the loss of your salvation!
JLB
How is losing the free gift of forgiveness not losing the free gift of salvation?Sure. Of course they are there. By why ASSUME that they refer to loss of salvation, when that isn't STATED either there, or anywhere else, for that matter?
Honestly, they were plainly refuted with scripture. Plainly. You've been given plenty of explanation for why those warning passages are about loss of blessing and reward, not loss of salvation. And they haven't been refuted.
That's funny. No one has even tried to.
Wait, wait, wait.......you just said no one has even tried to.Y'all just keep repeating yourselves.
