Minister calls for third Temple to be built

Potentially explosive statement by Jewish Home’s Uri Ariel breaks taboo against damaging status quo on Temple Mount…

“We’ve built many little, little temples,†Ariel said, referring to synagogues, “but we need to build a real Temple on the Temple Mount.â€
The Jerusalem site was home to Judaism’s first and second Temples, both of which were destroyed, the second one in 70 CE. The idea of building a third Temple, while popular among some religious and right-wing Jews, is considered outside mainstream Israeli discourse by most. http://www.timesofisrael.com/minister-calls-for-third-temple-to-be-built/#rssowlmlink
While many evangelicals believe that a Jewish temple must be rebuilt in Jerusalem before Jesus comes and establishes His kingdom on the earth, the Bible does not actually teach that.

the Bible does not actually teach that.
Okay, what does the bible teach concerning end times worship? Thanks.

This was a quote from a larger article.

I personally believe that there must first be a temple and a man of sin revealed from that temple, before jesus returns.

The person who wrote article does not.

I posted this article as it is extremely relevant to end times prophecy.

I don't. what the jews teach and what isn't the temple but who will dwell in the temple and a proper relationship with whom will come to dwell in the temple when they do torah right. I do NOT long for the deaths of 2/3 of my family.it will not be happy day if this happens.

Oh okay; I've got you. Thanks, and I'll wait until I see how this develops before entering opinions. :waving

So does this mean we don't really have to watch for the return of Christ until a new physical temple is built?

actually it would be the fifth.
we have:
1)Solomon's temple
2) the temple in Egypt, elaphatine
3) the temple in zerubabel's day
4) kings herods temple as the one above was burned and razed.

Sixth; there was also a Jewish temple at Leontopolis.

I would want to consider if there needs to be a Jewish temple to worship? Would sacrifices of burnt offerings become the norm again, and that to what end?

Only if you believe the scriptures.

Only if you heed the signs that Jesus gave to His disciples.

What would they be worshiping?

reba: This is a good question. The Lord has future events in His hands, once the church has gone. I wonder why professedly Christian preachers 'need' a physical temple now (as opposed to during Israel's future).

Blessings.

The hint the Body of Christ is plan B farouk ?

That is a good question, however, doesn't Revelation give the measurements of said temple? I think it does, and this would indicate that it is to be a physical temple.
Edward: Well, as a grateful reader of Scofield's and Darby's dispensational insights, I would tend to see that whatever happens is not the preserve of the church in this age of grace, which lasts from Pentecost until the Rapture, making a distinction also between the church and Israel.

(I guess we all come from somewhere.)

Blessings.

So how do you mean?

I guess I'm dispensational, anyway.

Blessings.
Yup the teaching of Darby & Scofield that if the Israelites had installed Christ as King there would have been no need for the cross, there for the Church/Body.

Dispy teaches separation The Word says
Gal_3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We know Jesus was sent to be Thee Sacrifice for mankind's sin... Salvation is in His Blood ... What then is the salvation of the Israelis?
