- And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church
Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Matthew 18;15-17
Jesus is teaching His disciples, how to deal with a brother, a brother in Christ who sins, and His disciples continue to pass on His teaching to their disciples, even to this day.
These instructions are for

You have deceived yourself, as the scriptures themselves testify.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. If
we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:8-10
The blood of Jesus was shed to be the final sacrifice for sins, both for the Church and for the whole world.
- And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
As we can all see, “ours” refers not to the world but is a reference to Christians; the Church
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.
And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2
