You have fallen into the trap that offers confusion and death. Accept love, and life my friend. Put away your 'childish' ways of man, and follow the Love of Jesus Christ and God.

I also find your turing around and saying that I have to be like you to be rather interesting. You lash at me for thinking I've said you have to be like me. I have not stated my opinion and noone has expressed it yet. Then you turn around and judge me as among the damned. Sweet. You don't know anything about my relationship with the Lord and I don't expect you to be at the pearly gates.

Blessings

Thess,

you are absolutely right. I cannot judge your heart or anyone elses. i won't attempt to try. I was simply stating that the 'church' that you preach has taught, in my opinion, untruth. I don't know the effect that which you follow may or may not have on a relationship with God. That's not of anyones concern but your own and God's.

And Free, let me offer this: Please!!! DON'T be like me. Be a BETTER person than I have been or will be. Run the race as if you mean to WIN it. i have trotted through most of my life as if it didn't matter.

What I offer is that EVERYONE follow Christ through LOVE and not any sort of legalistic ritual that portrays 'system' rather than 'Spirit'.

And I 'think' that I understood CJ's answer better than you may think that I do. You pressured him into an answer and he gave you what you wanted to hear. NO ONE can COMPLETELY understand God or His exact nature. We aren't expected to and NO we don't have to follow a SET of guidelines in order to Love Him and obey His wishes for us.

i did NOT choose God, He chose me. Why I have not a clue, except that He loves US ALL, but that He did is without a doubt in my mind or soul.

I was a completely lost sinner that didn't even realize that this was my condition. Stumbling through this life with NO regard for ANYTHING other than SELF. It's a long story and would probably mean little to you and some you probably would not even believe. But, suffice is to say that much has changed since those times and they were NOT changes brought about by me or MY will. I had little choice in the matter once I asked for the 'truth'. Boy, did He let me have it.

It's harder at times now than it was then. It was MUCH easier to only be concerned with my pleasure and temporary happiness than it is now, having to get use to the changes of all the habits that I had spent over forty years developing. It's a work in progress and ALWAYS will be. But that has NOT stopped my evolving relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

And Free, this was done through God and Christ. I was picked up and placed on my feet by the grace of God through His Son, NO man-made theology or preaching. This may work for some, (I have my doubts), but I believe that it's an INDIVIDUAL thing WITHOUT all the trappings of religion.

God loves us AS INDIVIDUALS. We are independent to choose for a reason. The reason? It's much sweeter to receive love and obedience through Love, than through law. Law didn't work in the past and it doesn't work now. We are now FREE to love God REGARDLESS of the law. And don't think that I am oblivious as to the change that this wrought in the lives of men.

Praise be to God, in ALL His Grace that He has so offered, to those that would choose to be His children, through love.

Why do you make such silly, judgemental statements. You show your prejudice toward me because I am Catholic. How condescending. You think the Catholic Church has no understanding of these things. You are so wrong. Repentance is central to the Catholic Church.

I am sorry that you find my statement 'silly' and IN NO WAY meant it to be condescending. I simply made a statement concerning 'myself'. I did not mean for it to reflect anything except the 'truth'. I apologize if it was misinterpreted to mean anything other than that stated.

I offered that you may not believe some of what my story would offer in that you believe that 'without your church' I couldn't possibly 'know' God. If this is true, then you would have trouble believing much of what my story would present. For I don't accept 'man's' way, but that of God to the best of my understanding. I am certainly NOT an expert in 'theology' or anything of the sort. I am 'just' a man that believes in God and His Son. I have studied much to learn of those things that I am unable to understand and try and offer what I have learned. There are certainly going to be those that consider my limited knowledge to be of even less consequence than it is to others, but, hopefully there will be those that read these posts that may gain a 'little' insight that they may otherwise, not be exposed to.

Look Free, I am an American. That doesn't blind me to the atrocious things that many of my forefathers have done for their own reasons. The leaders of this country have offered much mistreatment of Many, both native and foreign, people. This doesn't change my openly admitting that I am an American. All I can hope is that I offer a 'better' example of my country than many of it's leaders of the past/present have. There was much that our forefathers created for us that is to be very much respected. Much that still needs change. But regardless, I am still American.

So, you see, I understand where your position lies in regards to your faith. I have simply tried to point out that 'trinity' is NOT something Biblical that has been offered in scripture, but was created by men in their attempt to label something that didn't need another label. Instituting 'more' law into a religion that 'supposedly' had already 'fulfilled' the law.

Your faith is yours Free. Yours to follow any way which you choose. The choices that you make will make you liable though. And that which you teach others. So, with this in mind, I urge you and others to 'beware' lest you offer something to stumble upon, either yourself or others.
