As I said previously, one could be Baptized with the waters of Niagara Falls and it would all be for naught if you were not Baptized into “The Body Of Christ”——- THAT is the one that Counts...
Water baptism is how one is baptized into Christ Gal 3:27.

Gal 3:26 "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
Gal 3:27 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ."

It takes faith to be in Christ per v26.
It takes baptism to be in Christ per v27.

Therefore faith of v26 includes baptism of v27.

V27 "for as many of you" means not any more or any less than who have been baptized are in Christ, again, making baptism essential to salvation/in Christ.

Man accepts the gift that Christ gives by being obedient to Christ Heb 5:9.

“ Obedience to Christ” means to do what Christ said to do.....1John 2:3..... “Believe and Love” ......concentrate on those two things alone and see what happens ....if things don’t work out , at least you will be able to say that you did everything you were told to do , because this “ IS” all that you were told to do....

Jesus does not baptize anyone today with the Holy Ghost. Men today submit to water baptism, as commanded by God, for remission of sins. The one baptism of Eph 4:4-5.

So you believe Jesus stopped baptizing with the Holy Spirit?

Why would he do that?

The baptism with the Spirit is the power to be His witness, the power to live the Christian life.

Makes no sense.

How many times do you need to be shown His commands?

Why do you continue to ignore them?

Words of Christ in red —

You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:21-22

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Matthew 5:27-30

Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

Matthew 18:32-35

God the Father —

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Revelation 21:7-8

Many more throughout the New Testament.

Keeping His commandments are the very definition of love.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3

Disobeying His commandments is therefore the definition of hate.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

“ Obey” by RESTING in Paul’s Gospel Of Grace , Given to Him personally by Jesus.....

Here is the Gospel that Jesus sent Paul to preach.

Words of Christ in red.

  • in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins
This is what it means to turn to God; ie Repent

But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

“Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. Acts 26:16-20

This is what Paul told king Agrippa he does, calling Gentiles to repent, turn to God.

  • that they should repent, turn to God

Turning to God is how we obey the Gospel command repent.

When believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we respond in obedience by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord.

This is how we repent, by confessing Jesus as Lord.

We are turning away from Satan as Lord, and turning to Jesus as our Lord, and we are forgiven our sins.

Here is Paul demonstrating this principle to the Church at Rome.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10

  • you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

This occurs by grace through faith, for when we hear the message of God we receive faith, and by grace (The Spirit) we are able to confess Jesus as Lord.

The Spirit gives us the power, the grace, to confess Jesus as our Lord, thus breaking the grip Satan once held over us to keep us in bondage to his kingdom, the kingdom of darkness.

Confessing Jesus as Lord is how we are transferred into the kingdom of God, from the kingdom of darkness.

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3

The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

The power to set us free from the grip of Satan.

This is what it means to set the captives free.

Ths is done by the power of His Spirit, the Spirit of grace, through the obedience of faith, which is us confessing with our mouth, the Lord Jesus.

Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Great Post.....I am in total agreement
I only have problems where some people say we must Repent Of “ SINS” to get Saved......I have a Standing Offer to give $1000 to anybody that can show me where the KJV says this.....
Salvation is entirely an Act That Starts with God....” NOBODY comes to God lest the Spirit Draw Him”.......The Spirit “ draws” men by means of the Law .....The Law was given by God for One Main Reason— to show you that you can’t keep it — you MUST have a Savior.....If one then “ Turns” ( repentance) to Jesus Christ” as that Savior, he becomes Saved......Born Again....a New Creation with a New Heart That wants to please God ....
God Grants The Holy Spirit to all of those that Trust Jesus ALONE for their Salvation, and that Spirit will TRANSFORM you into the Image Of Jesus, concentrating on the “ inside of the Cup” and after you die, it is the Promise Of Jesus to present you to His Father as “ Blameless”
Our only task is to “ hear the Gospel” ( 1cor15:1-4) and “ BELIEVE the Gospel” ( Jesus died for our Sins and rose from the Grave ).....It is God that “ opens our hearts” to hear and believe the Gospel....Faith itself is a Gift from God....It’s ALL of God......all we can really do is thank Him for His “Giving us Ears to Hear”....
The Gospel is “ Foolishness to those that Perish”......If one instead sees it as “ the POWER of God to Save” .....you have been wonderfully Blessed.....Believe That Gospel That Saves! It’s just like the Song says, “ NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD”.....God Bless...

I only have problems where some people say we must Repent Of “ SINS” to get Saved.....

Agreed. Repent of sins to be saved is not biblical.

Repent that saves is turning away from Satan as your Lord, by turning to and therefore confessing Jesus as Lord.

A person must believe He is Lord to do this.
