It is my belief that scripture speaks of multiple resurrections, some in the past, and at least one more in the future. I believe the "1st Resurrection" written about in Revelation has already transpired and that it was the saints of the 1st century and perhaps the faithful of old who were party to this resurrection. They may very well represent what scripture calls the "firstfruits" and it is them who the 2nd death has no power over. For all the ret of us, I believe that we will be resurrected eventually also, but we will be resurrected unto judgment when we will live and our destiny will be determined based on our resurrected lives and at that time we will be presented with the opportunity to be sealed by God's Holy Spirit just as the 1st century saints were. Those of us who follow after righteousness and are bless with the seal will be the one who are referred to as those who are resurrected to live, age lasting while the others will face judgment and the wrath of the living God.

I am reading reincarnation? is that what you are saying or am i not getting it?

I see some special resurections such as Moses & the first fruits when Christ came out of the tomb.

But in the big picture 'i' see just two. The first resurection of the Rightous whem Christ comes again. And then 1000 years later for the wicked's finished judgement & then execution to die the second eternal death. Obad. 1:16

Jesus said this....

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Sounds like you need to get saved. We get the same thing that the apostles got, forgiveness of sins and the indwelling Holy Spirit. If you do not come to Christ and received the indwelling Holy Spirit just like the first century church did then you will die in your sins, there is not second chance after this life. Really commit to God and ask Jesus to be your Savior and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and you will know it.

That is Truth!! But find a place where Christ says that it is at that same time period??

And surely He [cannot] contradict His Words of Rev. 20:4-6 of their being one thousand year's in between!;)

And 'i' know that you did not say that He did, huh?:waving

But did you see the verses of yours that I highlited above this verse, these of Rev. 20:5 & 6 [The 'FIRST' RESURECTION]??

I would think the creator of time knows what an hour is.....

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John reads to me as one hour in the last day. No Jesus isn't
contradicting His words some one just doesn't understand them

First off, I want let all know that I am NOT a proponent of reincarnation because A) the concept isn't scriptural and B) I do not believe that we have eternal souls that could even be reincarnated. I believe the Bible teaches us that we ARE souls as opposed to being in possession of a soul.

The scripture you quoted above is one that helped me draw my conclusion. I believe this text is speaking on that resurrection that is yet to come and not the firstfruits resurrection of the saints.

ToT this is the part of your post, that to my ears, screams reincarnation.

For all the ret of us, I believe that we will be resurrected eventually also, but we will be resurrected unto judgment when we will live and our destiny will be determined based on our resurrected lives and at that time we will be presented with the opportunity to be sealed by God's Holy Spirit just as the 1st century saints were.

it also reads as a second judgment. Our salvation is based on HIS blood not our our our resurrected lives.

it also reads as a second judgment. Our salvation is based on HIS blood not our our our resurrected lives.

lets look at revalation 20 and actually read what it says and lay aside our bias.

4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

where are the saints that arent beheaded in this book after the 1000 yrs?

dead or with God?

if with god, why then does it say that the rest of the dead lived not again until the judgment and blessed is he who has the first resurrection?

i think we are all going to stand before god then let in after we are given a body.

this doesnt contradict the statement by paul for be to absent in body is to be present with the lord as that will happen to the deceased instantly as the dead have no time concept they see god next when they close their eyes.

Taking those verses literally may create a problem. Remember only those beheaded will reign.

Good for Paul, not so good for Peter. You're right, strict literalism creates problems.

sheesh did i go into the millenial reign. reba.

NO.

but i had to mention the verses on that.

and only those that had not the mark of the beast and were beheaded reign.

did paul have a chance to avoid that mark?

and it says these are they which didnt get the mark of the beast in another part of revalation during the great tribulation.

The beast by means of beheading brings salvation. If the beast shoots ya no salvation?

i am not claiming that at all.

in fact that verse i posted says otherwise

its implied that those that werent found in the book of life in judgment before the white throne werent saved but damned to hell forever.

only those with christ that are beheaded do reign.

I must be loosing something in our conversation. Seems to to me you said

"only those with christ that are beheaded do reign"

Who does the beheading? the beast correct? so if the beast finds out if it beheads ya your with Christ. why not just shoot ya dead and your not gonna reign with Christ.

"But do please, Br'er Beast, don't behead me!" - Br'er Christian;)

that doesnt mean salvation btw. is how you die a matter a salvation

btw that is why i take the millenial reign to be literal.

if you read that verse in revalation as is it says the beast beheads.

could he uses other methods?

yes but then why arent they described?

they had in joh's day

the beheading , burning alive on the stakes
the piercing by spears and also bow and arrow and burned in oil

yet none of those are mentioned.

hmm
