Salvation by grace through faith; not through works / law-keeping.

Where does this faith come from?
The faith to believe God's promise comes from God. And he gives it at his discretion, not ours.

If I must choose (volition) to believe in order to participate and cooperate with the grace then it’s involves works .
No, believing is not a work of boast that it should somehow constitute a work of the false works justification gospel. Romans 3:27

In the Bible, justification by faith is contrasted with justification by works, not equated with it as you are doing.

How can I have faith on my own?
You can't. Faith is a gracious gift of God given to a person so they can know with surety that the gospel they can not see really is true, and can then be able to believe and trust in it, and be saved. You can't be saved by something you do not believe and trust in. And it is only by God that a person can believe that the gospel that saves is true.

Jn 15:5 apart from me you can do nothing.
That's why the obedience of the Spirit is the evidence of salvation, not the procurer of it as the Catholic church erroneosly teaches.

Without God’s help we cannot even form one good thought.
That's a bit of an exaggeration. Works salvationists working to be righteous are quite capable of doing good things. But the righteousness of our good behavior falls far, far short of the perfect righteousness required to enter into the kingdom of God. That's why we must rely soley on the declaration of righteousness given to us by God through faith in him.

Even people who rely solely on God's declaration of righteousness to protect them through the coming judgement do not have the sufficient righteousness of works to protect them through the coming storm of judgement.

The only defense from the wrath of God at the end of the age is to receive a declaration of right standing with God through faith, not works.

The removal of your unrighteousness through forgiveness, not works, is the only way you'll ever be righteous enough to survive the coming judgement and enter into the kingdom of God. Works of righteousness can't and won't do that for you. To rely on works to do that for you is to rely on a flimsy whitewashed wall to protect you.

I'm gonna receive that as a "NO" it is not the truth that can make one free from committing sin.

Works gospel

Matt 25 definitely works gospel
Bread for salvation?

Matt 25 definitely works gospel
The works by which we are judged to be sheep don't make us sheep, they show that we are sheep.

You think you will become a sheep at the final judgement by being faithful to perform rigjteous deeds and rituals. That's the works justification/salvation gospel condemned in scripture.

You are relying on the righteousness of your works to be saved from the wrath of God at the judgement. You will not pass through safely. You will be lost because the righteousness of your faithful works is not good enough.

Only a declaration of righteousness credited to you through believing, not worked for, is able to protect you from the coming wrath. But you don't believe that and so you will be condemned for being unrighteous at the judgement, having relied on the working of your righteousness rather than the righteousness of God credited to you.

Bread for salvation?
By working to live, spiritually, you have broken the Sabbath command to not work to gather bread to survive, but to rely, by faith, on the the bread that God provides for you. Anyone who is depending on the righteousness of their faithful works to live is not at rest in Christ. They have not entered into the rest that God has established. The penalty for working and not relying, by faith, on what God provides is death. Spiritual death, of course.

What exactly qualifies as works?

Any participation or cooperation on our part?
Thanks

'Works' means being obedient to do righteous work in order to put God in debt to you to declare you righteous.

That is in contrast to being declared righteous by believing God's promise of blessing through His Son for which you receive a declaration of righteousness as a free gift of his grace, not as a debt owed to you for doing righteous rituals and deeds.

Really I have to choose to ask? Not works gospel?
I think you mean, 'I have to choose to believe?'

Yes, you do. But you can only do that when God opens up the door of faith to you and you are able to choose (Acts 14:27). But many choose not to believe the word of faith when God opens it up to them (1 John 5:10).

But Paul makes it clear that choosing to believe is not a work for which God owes you a declaration of righteousness because the faith through which you are able to believe is itself a gift of God's grace for which no one can boast (Romans 3:27, Ephesians 2:8-9).

Yes but we must cooperate with the grace God gives us and always ask for more graces everyday

We are entitled to nothing owed nothing everything is a gift of God so our constant thought should be about thanksgiving
Thanks
You could ask for more grace if you wish.
However, the CCC teaches that the more grace we use, the more grace God gives to us. (it may not be the CCC).
This is done automatically.
2 Corinthians 9:8
8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

God gives man grace.
If he doesn't use it God will not give more.
If it is used God will give us a "fresh supply".
We will never run out of God's grace.

Probably the living waters we received in baptism

2 Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanseourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Yes, you are to do that, but not to be declared righteous (justified).

We are not to go back to unbelief and our old lives of sin, but rather we are to keep believing and stay in the righteousness we have received by faith. Hebrews 10:26, Hebrews 3:12-14, 1 john 2:24-25, Hebrews 4:11.

How do we cleanse ourselves from sin? And without it being works

Correct !
Verses 5 and 9 are likewise addressing those who are, or who will be, walking in the light.
Verses 6, 8, and 10, address those walking in darkness-sin.

Whenever you are ready to address the content and scriptures in my post so we can discuss the actual words that are written in scripture, please let me know, because so far all you have done is discuss your opinion.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

  • if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin

John is addressing those who walk in the light in this verse, not those who walk in darkness.

Those who walk in the light, are those whom the blood of Jesus cleanses.

  • if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin

Walking in darkness is not mentioned in this verse.

Is there sin in love?
Is there love in sin?
Walking in love is sinlessness.

People is the discussion.

Sin, love are not people.

People who are not sinless perfect express love everyday.

However, that is not what the subject of 1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

We refers to people.

People who walk in the light have their sins cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

That is what John is teaching us, Christians, in this scripture.

Abraham was justified by faith, why aren't you?
