I can't figure out what your trying to say here.

I suppose that some could call the government statanic, and they may even be correct. However, God is still in control and uses this for His purpose and his glory. Take the Roman empire for example, they were about as anti - kingdom as it gets not to mention they cruicified Jesus, yet God used them to bring down Isreal in 70 ad which is a repeat of what occured when Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar) conquered Jerusalem and was prophesised in the book of Daniel. In turn, the Medes (Darius) conqured Babylon, and then the Persians (Cyrus) conquers and allies with the Medes and lets the Jews go back to Jerusalem etc.

Off the top of my head, Abram was promised a land, yet his offspring, as God has said, was in Egypt for 430 years before they we given the go ahead to take that land. Why the wait? According to the text, it was because the sins of the ? Cannenites ? had not yet matured.

All this to say that yes, God is in control, so in the meantime, if your government says to pay taxes, then pay taxes. Don't get yourself into trouble with your govenment because you disagree with what they are doing with your taxes by not paying your taxes.

Thank goodness, we live in America where we do have a voice in our government, and we can make a difference. However, we still need to abide by the laws of the land according to Paul, because if you think what America is doing, which is opposed to God's will, then try taking into consideration what Rome was doing with it's taxes and you'll see that America, although not perfect, is a whole lot better off than Rome when it comes to godly morals.... for the time being anyway... but that's another subject.

It is rather ironic to have to financially support the very thing that is somewhat of a spiritual enemy.
That said, we pay our taxes, if for no other reason than I believe the church should be of no ill repute with the world so they cannot levy accusation against us.
I mean, if they ask me to give up the faith they can take a flying leap. but if its just my money they want, they can have it.
I personally believe that in every area that we 'can', we should attempt to keep ourselves from being in a position for the world to deem us as lawbreakers and criminals. That has been one reason why I worked so hard to get my credit back in line. The world cant look at me like just one more christian who doesnt pay his bills like they could years ago.

i should have added that some say, and theres a point to that.
i doubt that christ reigned in the goverments of pol pot,stalin,hitler, mao etc.
