Should women teach in the church?

Operating in authority UNDER a Pastor, because he has asked you to do something in the church is certainly not usurping his authority or being in authority OVER him.
Correct.
A pastor with the Holy Ghost will never ask someone to do something that is unscriptural.
Operating under a Leaders authority is divine order.
Only if the leader is divine...or has the reborn's divine nature.

I dunno. I’m borderline socialist but I take Scripture seriously. And so….

Here in any small city USA, my options seem to be conservative churches that don’t go for female pastors but have their own set of problems, including an often toxic subculture and a lot of social class issues going on….

Or liberal churches that are often headed by women but are more about never ending affirmation of everyone and everything ever, but aren’t so much into The Good News.

Ugh 😑

Borderline Socialist?Shame on you! Lol.

You know what I am? When I was a kid my dad told us that we are democrats. Then I began growing and thinking and realized, I'm no democrat, I'm a republican!
Fast forward more years, more growing, more thinking, more God! DING! I am a Monarchist! :rofl2

Giving in to self-will (temptation) is easily done, even if we know we shouldn't. I have fallen a few times, and I am so sad, but what is done, is done.

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, Philippines 3:13

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. (Luk 10:41-42 KJV)

Praise God.

Keep praying to God for guidance to a real church.

Infallible?
No, just completely obedient to God.

False.

Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. Galatians 2:11-13

Was Peter completely obedient to the Holy Spirit, when he played the hypocrite with the gentiles?

Yes.
Unfortunately, his hospitality to the visiting Jews gave the impression that the Law was still in effect.
It wasn't, of course, and we can only hope that both Peter and the visiting Jews all learned a lesson.

I will be guided by the Holy Spirit, who is neither male nor female, and in whose company, God willing, I shall spend eternity.

You can follow the teaching of Paul if you like, who was trying his hardest to draw the Jews with their ancient traditions into the Christian Church.

The things of which you speak have no bearing on our salvation, they are merely ancient Jewish earthly traditions that do not apply to Greek or Gentile, and I am not from a Jewish background.

Remember, Paul had in his company female prophets and teachers. A person's gender has nothing to do with the things of God.

Born again, baptized Christians who have also been baptized with the Spirit, have a choice every single day whether to walk according to the Spirit, or to walk according to the flesh.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. Galatians 5:16-17
