Should women teach in the church?

Are you ready to deal with disunity in your "church"?
What are you talking about? You are creating disunity by forbidding women to serve in the roles to which God has called them. That is disunity!

And why do you put the word church in quotes? Are you listening to Satan?

Im looking for just one passage that demonstrates the role or status of a Pastor in the Church leadership structure.
How about this..."...for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;" (Eph 4:12-13)
And..."(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)" (1 Tim 3:5)
He "takes care of the church".
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; Ephesians 4:11-13
I see you already saw it.
Please show us from the scriptures where a Pastor is the head authority in a local church?
God is the head authority of the church.
He gave us pastors, as your kindly provided Eph 4:12-13 text provided.

A woman who receives authority to lead children and youth and other women in the church from her Pastor is not receiving “power over a man” but receiving authority to operate under the authority of the Pastor.
Correct.
Likewise if a man receives authority to lead other men in the church, he is not receiving “power over them” but receiving authority to lead them under the Pastors authority.
Incorrect.
If he is "leading", he has power to lead.
We don’t have power over people, that would be witchcraft.
Power could be used illicitly that way.
But a pastor of God doesn't do illicit things.

What are you talking about?
Have you forgotten your own POV? (post #813)
You are creating disunity by forbidding women to serve in the roles to which God has called them.
I am only repeating what God says in scripture.
That is disunity!
It is unity with God, and Paul.
Disuninifiers would seek to negate what Paul taught.
And why do you put the word church in quotes? Are you listening to Satan?
Because not all "churches" are of God.
Some call themselves "Christian churches" without holding fast to the words of God...or of His apostles.
They are the ones "listening" to satan.

How about this: "We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine by people’s trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love." Ephesians 4:14-16.

Give it a try!

I am only repeating what you think God says in scripture. Taking a single section out of context to prove your doctrine is eisegesis.

You are simply trying to justify male dominance, which is not Scriptural. You should be washing women's feet not stomping on them.

I think the reality of it is thus, Men are dominant over women in their lives on earth as humans, and he shall rule over thee.

But the spiritual reality is one of equality.

So is there 2 camps? Those who know intellectually that men are physically superior to women...andthose who can see the equality of them. Some are listening to their mind and some are listening to their heart.

:wink

That is silly, but the importance of what she did is beyond measure.
silly it maybe and yes she is a important part. as she was chosen vessel. how be it she has no authority at all.

there is a lot of silliness even flesh in this post, when scripture say if any man desire the office of a bishop/elder HE desires a good work. i did not write this paul did under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. the Bible says all scripture is God breathed. scripture shows the Man is the head. i have seen so pretty derogatory remarks made about women.

i will be the first to say the woman is not a slave nor the sole of the shoe. women have a very vital part in the Church .

yes they can teach ANY class !!! they have a voice in the Church vote wise. to be fair there are men who simply are not called leaders. imo one should be called . a man i know his wife sits on a board of a church org.

God did not call women to pastor and yes there are woman that holds the title. i have good friend she is Pentecostal preacher . we talk about the things we have in common

Amen to that.

By adherence to the writings of Paul, I have done that.
Thanks be to God.
It is those who wish to devalue or eclipse Paul's words that need to repent of such worldly actions.

You are as entitled to have unbiblical POVs here.
But when you change your mind, you will have the bible to lead you to Godliness.

I am writing what is in the bible.
Women in the church are not to teach or have authority over the men.

Let me know when you find a scripture about the role of Pastors in the Church.

On the whole, it would be better if the church classified people as the kingdom of God does where there isn’t male, female, nationality or race. In that kingdom people are classified according to what ministry they have to others: Prophet, teacher, pastor, healer, evangelist, ….and mature, full of the Holy Spirit or babes.

I like Pentecostal Churches. Without the presence of the Holy Spirit, the church is a dead church, and not a living church. Let the men govern the church. They can do the paperwork, pay the bills, keep the building in good repair, do the sick visiting, and all the donkey work, while spirit filled women teach and practise the love of God from the heart, to all those who have ears to hear.

you definitely have this part right { Without the presence of the Holy Spirit, the church is a dead church, and not a living church} that is in any CHURCH. its not the name over the door its the name in the heart . every Christian should be spirit and that spirit filled does not come by being Pentecostal or any other denom name.
spirit filled is in every Church or at least should be. you seem to have a attitude towards men.... this is off the subject but a person can run the aisles of the church , shout, fall in the floor , speak in tongues and what ever else. still be in the Flesh :eek2 . if its of the spirit a person will know it. a little thing called discernment
