As far as depictions of Jesus go, I have a hard time understanding why ANYONE would paint the Savior King as a wimpy, pasty, frail little effeminate scarecrow as almost every painting of Him shows Him to be.

because of the 2 kingdoms , Yhvh's and the enemies, the enemy is the one behind the popularity of idolatry, and the purpose is to increase the feelings emotionally and perhaps other aspects in people to get them to keep seeking after more idolatry while at the same time denying that it's wrong, and the ones in power are more than happy to keep doing so also, to get more people and more money under their control.

But, would you be inclined to worship the ridiculous person depicted in all the paintings the CHURCH, itself, commissioned to be done to hang in their "hallowed halls".

I wouldn't be inspired to support an institution that showed its leader to be emaciated and foggily, wistfully distracted like someone trying to figure out what is going on. And wasn't that the church's aim..... to extract as much coin from the populace as they could?

for those who don't realize it, about the ecclesia, yes! pure joy! (whenever 2 or more are gathered together in His Name to speak about Him).
for the brick and mortar places, remember what Yeshua says - Yhvh does not dwell houses made with human hands ..... along with all of Yhvh's descriptions and fulfillments and instructions found in Torah.

and how do you think the world's richest organization gets its money ? (certainly not by telling people the truth! ) if you were told that in order to be right with Yhvh the Creator, you had to contribute $500. this week , you probably wouldn't do it. but many many many people do - they think they have to.

exactly. no one in their 'right mind' (Yhvh willing). but the brick buildings are full of multitudes not in their right minds. remember the whole world (finally) does what ? >>>

The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and it being a balm in healing. Olive oil has no power in and of itself, but the faith attached to it's use does. Not to mention it makes a great Ceasers Salad... but don't ask for_his_glory, though,....she uses motor oil.

one of my highschool friends told me 500yrs ago that although one may be more handsome than Christ...but no one is more powerful that Christ. I think he believed those to be Jesus' real pics.

I read a stroy a long time ago. I child had the picture of Christ and carried it to wherever he went. One day he was captured by some antiChrist soldier (cant remember exactly the people). He was asked to tear the picture or lose his life. He agreed to lose his life.

however we dont seem to realise thay not only these are idolatories or could be one, a living being can also serve as an idol to some..whether used as a symbol or whatever.

Some are worshipping one of the female singers. I believe we know her. When I say worship I mean real worship like you can worship God.
