I enjoy discussing Christian theology. If you look at my posts in the Calvinism forum, you'll see how I enjoy doing that. (Especially the thread on limited atonement.) Why? As convoluted as the doctrines are, they are still fascinating. The Trinity, though ultimately nonsensical, is probably the most intriguing and profound doctrine I've ever heard.

What's the best case you have? I haven't seen it.
Thank you for that as I can better understand you now.

The best case I can give you is my own personal testimony in which I will PM you so not to derail the OP.

For almost two centuries the two Kingdoms where divided, but a remnant of the ten tribes soon came back to Judah after following Jeroboam as he turned the northern Kingdom into idol worshipers.

This is the importance of the 144,000 of the house of Israel and their generations unto the end of days. There were those of the old covenant that were faithful to God in keeping all his commandments and repented of their idol worshipping. Their generations who have also come back to Gods grace that are still alive during the seven trumpet sounds will continue to preach to the Jews as it was with the twelve disciples in Matthew 10:6. The generations of the 144,000 that are still alive have the seal of God on them which are the seven Spirits of God as they will have to endure much persecution until the end of days before the return of Jesus.

Revelation 21:10 kjv
10. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11. Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12. And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13. On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

This city will ultimately be filled with the Jew and gentile one new man.

We have 24 ribs = 24 elders that bow before the earthly throne of Jesus in our heart.

Now someone will have to tell me how the 144,000
Comes out of that.
Sounds similar to another 12X12. A mixture of physical and spiritual. Grafted in Gentiles.

I am 0.6% Ashkenazi Jewish from the tribe of Levi found from an Ancestry DNA test my sister took.

When studying the history of the twelve tribes of Israel being the sons of Jacob/Israel we find from 1047 B.C. and 931 B.C. the twelve tribes were under the leadership of three Kings, Saul, David and Solomon. Near the end of Solomon's reign he fell into idolatry and God spoke of tearing apart the Kingdom as judgment for these sins, 1 Kings 11:10-12.

After Solomon's death his son Rehoboam became King and those ten Northern tribes (Israel/Ephraim) rebelled against King Rehoboam and followed after Jeroboam up North causing a division of the north and south Kingdom. Only the tribe of Judah (Judah) and the tribe of Benjamin (Judah) stayed Loyal to King Rehoboam in the southern Kingdom for they kept Gods commandments as they knew David was the lineage of the promised Messiah as it was prophesied of the prophets of God. For almost two centuries the two Kingdoms where divided, but a remnant of the ten tribes soon came back to Judah after following Jeroboam as he turned the northern Kingdom into idol worshipers.

(Seven Spirits of God are found in Isaiah 11:2 and mentioned in Rev 1:4.
Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge and fear/respect of the Lord.)

(Maury Povich voice) Abraham, you are the Father! That's what I think. Abrahams family is still around.

Maybe the 144,000 don't know who they are because they've been scattered? Then God would gather them to israel at an appointed time?

Wow, what would you do if Gabriel showed up and told you, you are one of the 144,000 ...you have to move to Israel now. Keep things on the down low until the gathering is complete...??? Wow I guess you'd have to move then!

Can you share some scripture with me that includes those words? Where does the Bible talk about that "personal relationship"?

I'll give you a hint: nowhere.

John 15:4-5
Revelation 3:15-20
John 17:3
Romans 10:17
Colssians 3:1-3
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
Hebrews 2:1
Hebrews 2:3
Isaiah 55:1-3
Matthew 6:24

Is that enough for now Brother? I have more if you need them.

I can hear Maury saying that :lol

In Rev 7 we read that the 144,000 are sealed in the end of days as God brings them back to Israel as for now they are scattered throughout the world. This happens right before the sounding of the first trumpet that will hurt the earth and the sea. Being the servants of God and having the anointed seal placed on them I believe they will be preaching the Gospel message to the Jews who have rejected Christ as their Messiah. These are the last generational tribes of the children of Israel before the return of Christ.

The 144,000 of Israel Sealed
Rev 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

None of those speak of a personal relationship.
Each one of us comes to Christ in our own personal way as we make that decision to ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior as we confess Him to be the Son of God. This makes it a personal relationship with Christ as each one draws closer to Him and learns of His love for us. That's as easy as I can make it.

I could hear it too! When that popped into my head I couldn't resist writing that, lol.

Isn't this the start of Jacobs trouble? So it's prolly right after the rapture of the church. The fullness of the gentiles will have come in and the church Bride gets raptured out...leaving the 144,000 to contiinue God's work on earth? They wake one day, Uh-Oh the Christians are gone so Jesus is really Messiah. Them and the fence sitting Christians who were left behind.

Maybe.

Yes, we have to obey. Why do you think I moved from Colorful Colorado to...(wait for it,,,)...ohio. I did not wake up one day and say wow I want to move to ohio!!! The only reason I am here is because, (sigh), God told me to.

I didn't get Gabriel for a Messenger, I got Mike. Not Michael, Mike.

I'd post that testimony for TE for his encouragement, but he'd just tell me it was anecdotal and tell me about his cousin or something which proves I'm wrong. So I wont waste the time.

I know God didn't call me from PA to SC, that was just me giving into my husband who wanted to move to be closer to his only sibling he has left. Actually his brother moved from FL to SC since we live here now and he was tired of FL so it was a win win for hubby, but now all my family and friends are in PA, no win win for me 🥲

Times of Jacob's Trouble my understanding

Jeremiah 30 vs. 1, 2 starts out with the Lord speaking to Jeremiah about Judah an Israel. Vs 3 the Lord promises that one day in the future as the day will come that He will bring Judah and Israel back to the land He had promised to their forefathers. Vs. 5 describes a time of great fear and trembling. Vs. 6 describes this time in a way that pictures men going through the pains of childbirth, meaning great agony. Vs. 7 For that day is great so that no other day will ever be like it. This is a reference to Matthew 24:21; Rev 7:1-8. But, there is hope for Judah and Israel for though this is called the time of Jacob's trouble the Lord promises He will save Jacob (referring to Judah and Israel, not literally Jacob) out of this time of great trouble, Rev 19:11-21. Vs. 8 It shall come to pass in that day (in that day means a future day) says the Lord that He will break his yoke from off their necks and will burst thy bonds and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him. His yoke is that of Satan who for now controls the evil principalities of this world that even today, until Christ returns, persecutes God's people. Vs. 9 But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their King, meaning Jesus whom God will raise up (resurrection) unto them. Vs 10, 11 the Lord says, I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security and no one will make him afraid. I am with you and will save you declares the Lord.

Catching up of the Saints as some call it the Rapture

The catching up of the saints, meaning those alive at His coming and those who are in their graves will be changed and raised up together to meet Jesus in the air as this happens at the second coming of Christ on the last day when Christ returns and makes an end to all abominations here on earth, Matthew 24:29-31; John 5:28, 29; 6:40; 1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13- 18; Rev 19:11-21

Is it rude if I laugh out loud? There are no more tribes…none. The apostles are long dead so no “joining.” But you are just messing with me, right?

Just because many ofthe tribes are in the grave does not md
Ran they are non existent.

1 Peter 3:-9 kjv
19. By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Revelation 6:11kjv
11. And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

The prophets (for instance) were killed.

IMHO - Those OT people in Abraham’s bosom were exposed to the gospel. Can I give a list? No.

Let's not get tangled up in your apron strings now. The boy says he's a man, so let the men talk, lol.

The 144,000 is 12,000 from each tribe. That's what it means. That's what it says. Want the scripture for that one?
A winner 12X12

It was at that moment, that I realized...I don't have to type out the rest of the scriptures. Thank you for making my point.
You don't even know what Jesus looks like. How can you have a personal relationship with him? Nothing in the Bible uses those words, personal relationship. It's a popular Christian idea but finds no biblical support.
