THE FORMULA FOR SALVATION

Here's a very simple explanation for the two expressions; which are not found in the bible.

MONERGISM stands for mono,,,one.
God does everything in the salvation process for each individual He chooses to save. This is calvinism.

SYNERGISM stands for syn...together.
Man cooperates in his salvation process.


You always give Aminianism as the opposite.
Arminian was calvinist in many ways so I've never agreed that it is the opposite. How about using the word PROVISIONIST as the opposite of CALVINISM? God provides for us.

Just like I hate the teachings of Calvinism, or the Watch Tower, or a plethora of other “teachings” that lead people to depart from the Faith in Christ; thus departing from Christ.


Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
1 Timothy 4:1

I hate doctrines of demons… and the doctrine of the Nicolatians.


Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Revelation 2:15

Does God show us a formula for how to be saved?
Is this formula found in the Old Testament?

What do you believe that formula to be?
Would an almighty God even have a formula?

Is it very narrow and allows only a few into salvatiìon,
or is it wider than we would think and allows for more to be saved?

Personally, I believe it's wider than we think.
Jesus stands at the door and knocks...
Jesus is God.
God is knocking...
What if someone opens the door but has never heard of Jesus?

What about those before the bible was written?
Could they be saved?

Romans 1:18-20
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

What does the above mean anyway?
Are we Christians brain-washed into being too narrow-minded?

This thread has some aspects that really need the different boxes to be explained.

Self examination may work a little,or a lot, or maybe too much. And that may be a whole two or three threads.

When folks ask how I am doing, I say ask my wife, she will tell you the truth. My ego tends toward I am doing ok. However, scripture and others tend to disagree.

God is complex. Lots of names that tell of his attributes, but all those attributes form God.

In this thread I feel we have selected our area and divide the body. As if that is something new - LOL.

Ask a kidney about lung function and you may get rolling eyes.
Or
A long explanation about kidneys. Actually avoiding discussing lung function.

Calvinism is a far cry from biblical teachings.
Ditto for the JW.

Although the CC wandered from its original teachings, I'd have to say that most are biblically based.

I think we're in THEOLOGY right now.

Me too but if the demons have the name of a church it’s not allowed to speak against them. They must be treated with respect here, right?

I mean that’s not MY position but the one here. No one is to be told they are wrong, not even demons.

Each person must study and give an account to the Lord, for what they themselves have both taught and practice.


Personally I would hate to be in the shoes of someone who lived their Christian life, bowing down before statutes of Mary, and praying to dead “saints”.

You can state if you believe a person is incorrect if done in a respectful manner.

A better method would be to just state what you believe to be correct and prove it.

Saying You're Wrong in a derogatory manner, just causes arguments and nothing is gained.

The “they” are false teachers. We to treat everyone including demons with respect on this site. No false teacher is to be told that they “are wrong.” That is verboten here.

I think you know that I know nothing of preterism except that I think it's impossible.
