Joh 3:14

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

If Moses had a serpent on a pole, and all those who gazed upon it were healed? How much more should we consider the power of His Cross?

For all who looked were healed? If a "believer" has not seen the healing power of the Cross, maybe one should ask God for a fresh revelation of its power!

Dont take my word for it but earnestly ask for its power and God will grant it to you!

Go reckon at yonder Cross! :biglol

The power of the cross of Christ is that which disconnects us from the pull of this world and into the presence of God. The cross puts to death what is old so that the new can rise up within us.

Unless a grain of wheat fall to the ground and die....

Do you believe the Cross of Christ, that is Christ's death, saved everyone He died for without no exception s?

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The cross is the very power of God that takes our carnal thoughts, desires, transgressions, self will and whatever else we hold higher than God in our thinking and transforms all of these things giving us the mind of Christ that we are made renewed by His Spirit that we now walk in His Spirit as through Gods Salvation we have shed this old flesh and put on that of Gods righteousness that brings Him glory and honor in all we do and say.
I basically agree with all this (except for being imputed with the righteousness of God - I do not believe the Bible teaches this, altough it is widely believed. We are indeed imputed a status of "righteousness" but not the righteousness of God (or of Christ).

But my main point is that the cross is about more than the "renewal" of we humans - it is about the reversal of the curse that affects all of creation, not just us people. And it is also about the initiation of the kingdom of God in this very world.

The cross of Christ becomes efficacious for us as it is applied to our lives. So if we die with Christ we are raised with Him. If we let go our old lives then we have access to the new creation in Christ.

Then you do not believe in the power of the Cross. Paul said of it Gal 6:14

14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

The Cross is what gave Paul the ability to live a the christian life !

Isa 53:3

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

On The Cross all these things was judged, in His Body! Like the serpent that was lifted up, and all those who looked upon it were healed? If by the eyes of faith we could see His great work on that Cross for us we also would be healed!

Go reckon at yonder cross..LOL
You are good for my soul. I needed all this inspirational scripture I've had a rough night on another thread. It made me rather sad. Not for me but for another brother.
But you've cheered me up, the Lord is good. Sarah laughed and Abraham laughed so hard he fell on his face. Ha Ha
God is faithful and satan is cooked turkey. The cross took care of his good for nothin' pea brain.
thanks Mitspa

Isn't that what Abdullah said? That as we apply the cross in our lives that it has the desired effect. I think that is what he is saying.

"by whose stripes ye were healed." 1 Peter 2:24

Joh 16:11

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

If we could get past our flesh, and religion, we could see the victory of the Cross. For those who know the Truth, the truth has set us free from the power of satan.

Rev 2:7

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

I think he is just looking to disagree and feel right! ;)

Duh, I just said that. Obviously you do not believe that ! If you did, then why would it not give power and ability to everyone Christ died for ? Do you believe that ?

It does! The Lord knows those who are His.
