The Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, has true spiritual power, it is a place of death for the "natural" mind. It is the place of victory for the "spiritual" mind.
For those who have reckoned at its purpose, it has become the power over satan and his kingdom.

The strength of sin is the "law", why?

It makes no sense for anyone to speak about the Power of the Cross, when the Cross has no Power unless man lets it. The man effects the Cross and not the cross the man ! So why not talk about the power of man ?

Some works people have a tough time with the "unworthly" part of I Corinth. 11:30. The denomination that I attended couldn't seem to get this one. It's about discerning the Lord's body not their worthiness to partake. There's healing in partaking of the Lord's supper. ALL kinds of healing for whatever you need. In our partaking we glorify Him and He blesses us.

Many believe John was dealing with the false teaching of the "Gnostics" which taught that Christ was not really in a physical body of flesh. The great truth of the Cross is that He took upon Himself that judgment that was ours, and without His Work on the Cross we are all still in our sins.
