Greetings all. This is my first post. I am here by invitation and look forward to some good fellowship. Before I really get into things, and as someone coming from the AI forum, I'd like to share a passage (or two) of scripture:...
Welcome... and welcome home from, Japan, was it?

Yes, Japan it was. Great to be back. :)

Well, then settle down and settle in, there's lot of reading in these forums.

Enter the Apologetics Forum at your own risk though. Speaking softly there is not in style but carrying a big stick is. :smt064 Full arsenal may be warranted also.

Greetings all. This is my first post. I am here by invitation and look forward to some good fellowship. Before I really get into things, and as someone coming from the AI forum, I'd like to share a passage (or two) of scripture:

Acts 15:36-41

Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the brothers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing." Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord. He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

My point is that even the greatest "heroes of the faith" have been involved in some pretty heated disagreements. We should keep in mind that although we claim to belong to Christ, we are ALL still a work in progress. When we find ourselves so sharply divided, it is best to find the common ground and come back together in the unity of our faith.

I think in every example of the Bible, God always comes first...except one time. Matthew 5:23-24;

"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

Just some food for thought.
Reconciled to your brother or sister in the Lord, not unbelievers.

Matthew 5:45-47

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?"

Romans 12:17-19

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with ALL men.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Actually, sometimes I have two windows open, one for the forum and another for searching the web. But today, I am searching the internet to find out how to get rid of these GIANT BROWN BEETLES I found in my compost pile. It took me a couple of years to make that soil from composted leaves and now I find KILLER GIANT BROWN BEETLES IN IT.
:sad

No, she's just having flashbacks! :silly:
Vic! Flashbacks indeed!
Flash backs from this past Saturday!!!!!

Guys, these Beetles are so UGLY HUGE! FREAKS ME OUT!
Yeah, On Saturday, I had Flashbacks from 5th grade science class. I remember when Mrs. Richards (my science teacher) showed us her bug collection. There was one bug that was bigger than all the rest! A HUGE BROWN BETTLE just like the one I found in my garden this past Saturday!

Now I VANT TO KILL THEM... :o :-? You might wonder, now why would she want to do that?
Well, let me tell you.... Falshing back to last saturday... when one of them grabbed onto the ring finger of my right hand and pinched me REAL HARD!!!!! It left two bleeding holes in the tip of my finger. It FREAKED ME OUT when it did that! I didn't realize what got me until after I quickly flicked it off of my finger the moment I felt the pain! Afterward, I saw this giant beetle laying belly side up on the ground as it wiggled it ugly legs in the air. I then looked at my bleeding finger with the two holes in it! And I got this urge to kill it! So I picked it up with my shovel carried it over to the driveway and smooched it dead with the backside of the shovel! ICK!!!!!
:o I killed a big bug! :o :-?

BUT, YEOW DID THAT HURT when it pinched my finger! Bugger felt like a sharp shard of glass went into my finger or some really long huge needle went into my finger!
At the time I didn't know what it was, but It was very painful! So now, I VANT TO KILL all the enemy that has infiltrated the depths of my compost soil!

Since I can't remember the name of that bug, I was searching the web but couldn't come up with anything but a picture someone had posted of one that looks just like it.
So no, I'm not really bored, just having some silly fun. :P

Anyway, I want to find out how to get rid of these monster killer bugs organically but can't find the name of it in order to find the solution to getting rid of it.

Here's a pic of it I found on the internet.

KILLER BUG! :o

Does anyone know what the name of it is, or how to get rid of them? These bugs are nesting on the edge, but deep down inside, of the compost pile close to the roots of a young oak tree that is growing next to it. I vant to kill/exterminate the enemy killer bug! I can't use my fresh soil for the rest of my garden until I get rid of the bugs in it. So I need to find out how to do that. Any suggestions? These things are just too awful huge! and I think they love to eat roots. So I hope I didn't transfer them in with the plants I planted earlier, and I hope they don't damage the roots on the plants I already have growing.
I've never had to deal with the monsters before. :smt100

Vic, I'll bet iguanna' s :smt016 really love to eat Big killer sized bugs! :smt016

Umm, Welcome FoxFan, glad to have you here! :D

Relic,

I don't know where you live, but maybe a few bantam hens would take care of them. (?) They are sweet, and very easy to care for...and you can eat their tiny little eggs if you wanted. Just a thought...we use our chickens as natural pesticide. The Lord bless you.

lovely, I would love to do that, but no chickens allowed where I live. I'm a city slicker living in the city of Cleveland. The only chicken you'd see around here are either the Home fried chicken, Kentucky Fried chicken, chicken wings, chicken tid bits, chicken tenders, bbq'd chicken, roasted chicken, chicken pot pie, chicken salad, chicken soup, or some poor ole' chicken punk who's running away from the cops.
