The twinkling of the eye

1 Corinthians 15:50-54 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”[
And how fast will those going up in the rapture go as "in the twinkling of an eye"? A twink is a reflected particle of light seen in the eye and travels at the speed of light (983,571,056 feet per second).

the sound of a battle cry, interesting. the shofar was used for both war and worship.

the resurrection of the saints simultaneous war on the enemies of god would be the correct view. see jude for that." and he cometh with his ten thousand thousand saints"

Yes, in relationship to the 1 Corinthians scripture.
I was speaking in general to the kingdom now.

I thought a twink was a homosexual. At any rate, there's nothing about twinks in this verse. The word "twinkling" is derived from the verb to twinkle, as in "twinkle, twinkle, little star".

You talk alot of homosexuality and aids.

Maybe I am getting you confused with someone else.Maybe I am getting you confused with jason.I get you guys confused for some reason.

That could be the explanation. Jason has said that he used to be in that lifestyle but that God set him free from it. He knows more about those things than probably anyone else here, so he often takes part when there are threads about it.

while I did live in that sin briefly its Christ-empowered who has more inside knowledge as he was a homosexual for most of his young adult life.

The twinkling of an eye. I heard Chuck missler say that it is a lot faster than a blink, perhaps about 1 to the 32nd or some such (dunno how to make the 'puter write that stuff. lol) (may have the actual figure wrong) I tried to find it just now, and could not. I only came up with this, which says that the twinkling of an eye is about 11 100ths of a second. Pretty darn fast. (I can't wait! :))
