Luke 10:16, “Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me, and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” This says nothing about His apostles or His church.
Matthew 18:17, "If that person refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church, and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a gentile and a tax collector." This says nothing about the Holy Spirit.
John 16:13, "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come." This verse alone proves you wrong. The Holy Spirit is neither an apostle or the church, yet Jesus says that he [the Holy Spirit] will guide us into all truth.
I suggest that you read the Bible more carefully than you're apparently doing.
Great post! It should be read by everyone, especially by those who think that water baptism saves. God saves, not some ritual. If a person doesn't believe in God it doesn't matter how many "baths" s/he takes.
Christ said so Mk 16:26 & Jn 3:5 but if you don’t hear the apostles you can’t hear Christ lk 10:16 acts 2:8

There are two classes in the church, the priests / apostles and the people.
Jn 8:32 Jn 16:13 applies only to the apostles, then they are commanded to teach us the people Matt 29:19-20

You must belong to The Christ of Christ. They also believe that baptism saves.
Just as the Jews made the law their Jesus, you have made Water baptism your Jesus.
Instead of trusting in Jesus to save you from your sins, you are trusting in your baptism to save you. Anything religious thing that we do is a work of the law. Paul said, "By the deeds of the law (what you do) there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" Romans 3:20.
Everything under the New Covenant is by faith. Works, laws and religion count for nothing. Baptism is a work, it is something that we do. Most likely you will be in the "Lord, Lord, didn't we?" group, Matthew 7:21-23.

I'm not offended, just realizing that you aren't actually going to interact fully with my points.
Did Judas have a successor? No, he had a replacement, Matthias, directly appointed by God through the true and only apostles who were apostles by decree of Christ himself, directly and personally appointed to the role by him. Matthias is unique in the record of Scripture, replacing the only one of the Twelve to forsake Christ entirely. His installment as an apostle of the sort on par with Peter, or John, or Phillip, then, is vaporous ground for an apostolic line of succession. Description is not prescription: The description of the choosing of Judas's replacement is not necessarily a prescription for doing so in every case where one of the Twelve apostles vacated the role. And so, Paul, knowing he would soon be martyred, did not install Timothy, his spiritual protege, in the office of an apostle, but established him merely as an Elder/Pastor/Bishop over the Early Church. Peter, too, knowing about his own approaching execution (2 Peter 2:12-15), made no arrangement for his apostolic replacement in any of his NT letters.

Jesus is speaking to the Twelve here, but he doesn't say to them, "You direct the Church, holding authority to dictate to it who is and isn't a part of the Church." No, instead, Jesus puts the Twelve under the authority of the Church, the Body of Believers, saying to them that they were to take a sinning brother before the Church which would, as a community, speak to the sinning brother, urging him to repentance and reconciliation with the family of God, or shun him if he should refuse to repent. How any of this can be made to support apostolic succession I don't know...

As Christ's specially-chosen disciples, the Twelve represented Christ in a very direct way, as was the custom for any Jewish disciple of any Rabbi of the time. To be an adopted disciple of a particular Rabbi was to be his direct representative, teaching what the Rabbi taught, speaking as the Rabbi spoke, dressing as the Rabbi dressed, adopting his mannerisms, even eating as he ate, in some cases. It is to this behavior that Jesus was referring when he said what he did to his own chosen disciples above, confirming them as his direct representatives and tacitly commanding them to represent him with a strict emulation. The Twelve would be speaking for Christ, and so, any who would reject what they said would be rejecting their Rabbi, their Master, whose words they were speaking. What Christ is emphasizing in his remarks to the Twelve here, then, is their responsibility to accurately communicate their Rabbi's teaching; he was not teaching that the Twelve were essential to the Church as the voice of God such that an unbroken line of apostles had to be maintained.
The apostle John wrote pretty much the same thing in his first letter to "lay-Christians" as Christ said to the Twelve:

5 They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them.
6 We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
John draws out here what, I think, Christ was getting at in his remarks to the Twelve in Luke 10:16: All believers, as representatives of God speaking His Truth, will either be received or rejected according to the nature of their audience, those of the World spurning the Truth of God, and those who know Him listening to it carefully and joyfully (Jeremiah 15:15; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
When Christ's disciples encountered a worldly audience that rejected the teachings of their God-Man Rabbi, the Savior of the world, he instructed them as follows:

10 "But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11 'Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.'
In all of this, the focus is properly on the one being represented, not on the necessity or power of the representative.
How do I "hear God" apart from an apostle? Well, here's what the Bible says:
1 John 2:26-27 (NASB)
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you.
27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
It's important to see that there are TWO sources of teaching here: The words of the apostle John AND the Holy Spirit (the "anointing") working together to the edification and knowledge of divine truth. Of the two, the Holy Spirit is an obviously superior position, imparting supernatural wisdom to both the apostle John and to all born-again disciples of Christ through John and to them directly.

The Bible speaks of two baptisms. Water baptism and spiritual baptism. Water baptism is something that we do. Spiritual baptism is something that God does. When we are saved, we are spiritually baptized into Christ, Romans 6:3-4.
We are not saved by anything that we do. We are saved by what Jesus has done. Water baptism is a work of the law, it is something that we do. Paul said, "By the deeds of the law (what we do) no flesh will be justified in his sight" Romans 3:20.
Paul rejects works of the law (mosaic law) and works alone but not faith and works united to Christ in one baptism eph 4:5 thru grace

The only thing that God recognizes under the New Covenant is faith. Mainly faith in his Son Jesus Christ. The reason being is that Christians are still in their unredeemed Adamic bodies that are sinful, Romans 8:23. God does not accept the works or the obedience of sinners. God only accepts the works and the obedience of Jesus Christ; we are accepted only in him and because of him, Philippians 3:9.

How can you enter by your own if it must be ministered to you? Baptism is done unto you, “not do it yourself by faith alone”

Where is “Accept Christ as your personal lord & savior” is found in scripture?
They did not go preaching this line but went immediately to the river and baptized Jn 3:22

Why don’t it say one teeny tiny little act of “faith alone”???
When we first believed we are saved?
Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
How can salvation be nearer than when we first believed if you’re saved by believing?
1 pet 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Matt 24:13 endures to the end Shall be saved.
How can salvation happen when we first believed if it’s the end?
If salvation is by “faith alone” then faith would be the greatest!
1 cor 13:13 charity is the greatest!
Even all faith much less “faith alone” without charity avails nothing!

Salvation is by faith alone, because it is by Christ alone, Romans 4:5. It was Jesus Christ that reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19. Not some ritual or what you do.
The only thing that God accepts under the New Covenant is faith. He does not accept our works or obedience because we are still in our sinful unredeemed Adamic bodied, Romans 8:23.

That includes 1tim 3:15 the church is the pillar of truth and the church condemned the doctrine of justification by faith alone which you must believe if you believe the Bible! Also must hear the church Matt 18:17 must hear the apostles to hear Christ Lk 10:16 the apostles in the church are lead into all truth Jn 8:32 & 16:13 then they teach us Lk 1:4 Matt 28:19 acts 8:31 etc
“If anyone says a man is justified by “faith alone” let him be anathema!

Salvation is by faith alone because it is by Christ alone. If you believe that it is by faith plus your works or your piety, then you have a perverted faith.
