Thomas was one whom Jesus identified himself as the Father. Even though Jesus was the son of the Father,, he was identifying himself as the Father. The carnal mind cannot perceive what the spiritual mind can.
John 20:28
"And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God."
Thomas doubted how that could be. But when he saw the risen son of the Father, the man Jesus, he said “My Lord and my God” . It was an acknowledgment of the identity Jesus had made of himself with the Father.
