Bible Study What Does This Bible Verse Mean?

Okay,.. so what does that all mean in simple terms.
When you accepted Christ as your Savior and follow Him in baptism and receive the Holy Spirit, you have a new man in you and a helper. That is who you follow. If you haven't done that...you need to. Reading and talking about Christ is not salvation and being sorry for our sins is not repentance, Being sorry can lead to repentance. When we realize we are sinners and deserve hell, we turn to God and confess that we are sinners (That is repentance), That is what we do, then God regenerates us with the Holy Spirit. Call upon the Lord to be saved from the Judgment and follow after Christ in baptism of His death, burial and resurrection as being dead to sin and alive in Christ. (Rom. 6:1-23)...Study the Scripture. What I have told you is true. He has given us everything we need for Salvation.
In Christ eternal Mercy and Grace
Douglas Summers

As I said before, I think I realized if I wasn't saved, I wouldn't be so concerned about spending the rest of eternity with Jesus Christ. As for Baptism, I'm getting baptized on April 15th. :cross

Take ezra 's advice. Study the Scriptures provided. I don't mean read them only. Study them. I journal every day (I have the time as I'm retired). But just as you struggled with your faith, so have I. But cultivating the garden of Faith is what give you assurance. The Holy Spirit testifies to your spirit that you are saved. You can't have a close relationship with God without seeking him daily. I've learned this the hard way.

I think that's basically the whole entire point that I was trying to make. I constantly seek Him every moment of every day. I'm not really sure what you mean by studying them though. I can't really believe that you struggled with your faith though.

IF joe writes you a letter how many times do your read it?

So you do know about Joe. Well he only emails me and...well I see what you're saying. You sort of picked the wrong time to mention his name though no offense. Or maybe you didn't. Maybe that's the reason why I struggle with my faith so much. It's because I'm in an awful lot of pain right now and I feel that it's shaken my faith. Great, here comes the tears again.

I've struggled more than you know! Oh my! Just recently in fact. A crisis of faith it was!

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Thorn in the Flesh
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. yes he had a problem

No, not as much as I should I admit. Like I said I am broken right now. Heartbroken rather.

I can so relate. I have to pray constantly for God's strength. I have little of my own.

i go to a gym and work out.. the county Coroner was there.. we was talking before i left told him he had be strong in the Lord to do his job. he said could not do it if God did not give him the strength.. that is with all of us..

Sweetie (I'm 65 so I call all the girls sweetie, except reba. I call her boss lady!) I am broken. We are all broken. But praise God He has the glue to fix us right!

Pain is relative. I learned this recently. I was very sick. Lost 10 pounds. My brother died nearly a year ago from cancer. I was there when he died. And I was in Arizona cleaning out his stuff. When I got home, I got sick. Worse, my clinical depression came back (long story but I was off the meds with the docs okay). This was worse because I was so sick. I was suffering both physically and emotionally. I had to get on anti anxiety pills as I was not able to sleep. I was a mess. Talk about suffering!

Then God showed me the refugees in Bangladesh. This was through Samaritan's Purse (Billy Graham Association Ministry) They are suffering. No homes and without the aid, they'd die. Many have dysentery.

A friend is in the hospital with lots of pain. Due to an accident, he's now a quadriplegic.

88 children have died this year from the flu. 88 families lost children. (maybe more)

Christians around the world are being persecuted and killed - for their beliefs.

And me? I'm well now. Pray with me for the suffering of the world and also pray and thank God for all he has given you! Rejoice! In all things!

;) Papa

i fear your over looking the obvious we need a Savior

Don't get me wrong I still love God very much and I realize that He is only trying to make me stronger. I didn't mean that the way it sounded. I'm sorry.

Neh_8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
