Bible Study What Does This Bible Verse Mean?

Psa 3:1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
Psa 3:2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
Psa 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Psa 3:4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
Psa 3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
Psa 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
Psa 3:7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Psa 3:8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

Thanks you guys. I really needed that and I really need Jesus. I have got to study the Bible more and listen to that song. I still feel rather guilty and ashamed of myself right now. Lord please forgive me.

Anyway, sorry again. I sure hope that God forgives me for taking it out on Him.

Psalm 51:17
17 The sacrifices of God , are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart O God, thou wilt not despise.

That song was really pretty by the way and I do need a Savior. I'm sorry that I took this thread so way off topic. Thanks for all of your patience. I'm just going through an awful lot right now sadly and sometimes I say things I don't mean. But I do mean this with all my heart I love you Jesus and even though we've had our disagreements before but I love you all in Jesus' name. :cross

many important scriptures has been posted read them use the commentary link if you need help i can help you

Sweetie (I'm 65 so I call all the girls sweetie, except reba. I call her boss lady!) I am broken. We are all broken. But praise God He has the glue to fix us right

I almost forgot to tell you how much I loved this quote. Thank you for sharing it with me and reminding me. :hug

Hey you guys, just so you know this is going to take me awhile to read and study so I think that I'll read a little bit each day. Umm.. on second thought I will just stick with my message Bible those are some pretty big and complicated words for me on the commentary. I'll just be sure to read my Message Bible more often.

the commentary helps break it down there is a full list https://www.studylight.org/commentaries/bnb.html no big words here you need extra study tools

No thanks. I prefer just reading my Message Bible. I'm actually really starting to like it and get pretty far in it too. :bible:cross
so your not interested in the back ground of the scriptures . you read your bible and use the commentary to help you understand . for instance do you understand being justified /justification presenting our bodies a living sacrifice..the commentary is not the bible ..but never the less

The Message Bible is easy enough for me to understand. And me deciding to read it is better than nothing at all. Just pointing that out for the record. I'm actually interested in it and excited about reading it now.
