Just for the fun of it...how is the garden so well hidden? Was it removed from the planet? I know angels were/are guarding its entrance. I know Genesis mentions rivers that are by it. ANY ideas?

Nobody knows' except that it was in Africa by 4 rivers.

The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden. . . . Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first is Pishon. . . . The name of the second river is Gihon. . . . The name of the third river is Hiddekel [Tigris]. . . . The fourth river is the Euphrates.

The garden is hid behind a wall of death, and trying to attain it only reveals more death. You can not climb the mountain that can not be touched so that you may peer into the garden, for all you see is death. But the living Christ, he may take us there, and His Spirit will show you the garden, and the measure of His kingdom, and there once again be blessed with the tree of Life. The garden is within my heart, and a fountain of water fills my Spirit with life, but you can not see it, for it is hidden to you, because all you see when you look at the outer man is the death.

Eloquent... but where is the physical garden. Where is this "wall of death":chin

The garden was probably destroyed in the flood.

Hey Good answer! I never would have thought of that.

I agree with Gary. The flood would have completely changed the earth's geography. Not only would it have destroyed the garden, but it would also have changed the courses of rivers. The Euphrates and Tigris rivers we know today are not the ones that flowed from Eden. They are probably called that because, when people first saw them after the flood, they reminded them of the old rivers. The same may be true of other geographical locations. They look similar, but they are not the same.

:agreed Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold........................all this would be buried deep into the ground as all the plant life would be gone, but yet the garden of Eden would still be in the place where God created it to be. Genesis Chapter 2 describes it to be near the Armenian highlands where the Tigris and Euphrates River still flows above that of the area of Babylon in the Arabia area.

Its still there, just because we can't see it doesn't mean it went anywhere everything is just the way it was.. and the flaming sword still guards the tree of life complete with the Cherubims.. i believe we'll see it again when Jesus sets up His Kingdom

Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

And how do you know it's still there ?

Faith Lewis pure and simple faith.. :)

II Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

asking about a literal garden. go to chabad.org and look what gan eden is and then what we say heaven is.

Who wrote that Jason were they Sadducees or Pharisees..

gan eden is a concept that predates Christ by several hundred years, the Pharisees did exist at time. but well without those evil Pharisees of that time. there wouldn't be a temple for jesus to teach near, nor any tanach. those were the ones who took down Greco rule over isreal with the Maccabean revolt. the concept of paradise is something I had to look at with jews in order to grasp what jesus said to the thief. the jew on the cross had to know what that meant. and I looked at its gan eden! heaven.

while is likely since that time there has been some changes to the view of that. but still its interesting. the church teaches that at the end of the millennium the creation will be gone, and all we be in heaven. that is what the jews say.

Like this.. :yes

II Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

I tell you if OK' allows this they have crossed way over the line, and the state law makers would need to be destroyed. This statue even has little kids looking up to this demonic creature' like they are awl struck

The garden of Eden is, and always has been, better understood as the secure and bountiful spiritual habitation of those in a morally correct relationship with God, rather than a mere physical place.:twocents

Consider this idea through the eyes of Rom 14:17 and Rev 22:2
