Are killed and their dead bodies 4430 literally corpse or carcass, (never translated any other way), lay in the street. And the people of the earth gaze at their corpses 4430 and make merry because these 2 prophets 4396 (a (1) prophet; a person gifted at expositing divine truth) tormented them so much are eventually caught up into the clouds.

Just doesn’t sound like the old and New Testament to me.

Furthermore, in Romans 11 there are not 2 Churches. There is one tree that is holy and one other that will be judged. As a Gentile, You are either a branch cut out of the “wild olive tree” (unsaved) and grafted into the natural (holy) olive tree upon belief. Or, you remain in the wild olive tree and will be judged accordingly for your unbelief. Only upon believing in the Lord Jesus are you cut out of the wild olive tree and grafted into the holy tree. Trust me, you don’t want to remain on that wild olive tree.

Additionally, 10 out of 13 times in the New Testament the word translated as olive trees in 11:4 is translated as simply “olive” 1636 . 10 out of 13 times, and one of those is not in rev 11:4. but the translators are obviously trying to make a connection to Zechariah 4. And Zechariah 4 is the same way, we don’t know if Zechariah saw only olives and branches, or olive trees with branches. It is translated at the translator’s discretion.

The Spanish Bible almost always translates these as “olives”.

well, it the plural feminine “dos olivas” and as I read that in Spanish, it says 2 olives as the direct translation. I speak Spanish, but not fluently. Depending on the context, I suppose this would determine the translation. My wife is from Mexico and In her opinion it reads 2 olives but thinks it depends on the context. Additionally, in every direct translation I run it through, it says “2 olives”. Below is from the translation dictionary.

Each olive branch represents an individual person. Our choice to receive the Lord is an individual personal decision. The natural branches were broken off for their individual decision to reject Christ. We can not do that as a group. When we come to faith in Christ, as a Gentile we are like a branch broken off of our wild olive tree, and then grafted into the holy or natural tree. Hence, the 2 olive branches are 2 individual believers.

Btw the only time besides Revelation 11:4 that the Greek word https://biblehub.com/greek/1636.htm is translated as olive tree, is in Romans 11. This is because the context warrants it, as a branch could not be broken off of an olive. The immediate translation for Revelation 11:4 would be olive, however, I am thoroughly convinced the translators were taking Zechariah 4 into consideration.

I would propose the possibility that Zechariah saw olives on branches in Zechariah 4, we can’t know for sure but it should be considered.

Just sayin, The one I quoted did say 2 olives. So there is that possibility. Whether you like it or not. 16 times that Hebrew word is translated as olive. So it depends on context. 10 out of 13 times the Greek is translated as olive.

You should not hurt anyone , but obviously the 2 witnesses have been appointed for a different purpose.
