And, for entertainment purposes only, we might be tuned in to the reality of the first commandment, the law(s) being for the lawless and all, 1 Tim. 1:9

Is Satan moved by the commandment, the Word, the Law, to resist the law? Again, for sure. Where does this resistance take place?

Why, in man, ala Mark 4:15

If you ever wondered what happened to Adam the moment God spoke to Adam, before the command came, remember Mark 4:15 blindsided Adam "immediately" just as Jesus noted.

So was it just and only Adam receiving that command? Was Adam, the son of God, Luke 3:38, lawless? I'd think not

No, it was not just Adam receiving the command at all. It was Adam and the tempter who deceived him and Eve.

The inner man, Eve, was the one seduced. Yes, it's an intimate picture for sure

I wouldn't be wasting too much time expecting Satan, the tempter, to follow the law in any person

Genesis 2:16
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise,

Again, You are the one who is trying to equate the desire to study the Bible as evil when I said no such thing. Who told you it was evil to study? Why do you supposed the God commanded Adam NOT to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Why were they driven out of the Garden?

Romans 7:9
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

As for the OP, perhaps you fail to recognize that Genesis 2:16 is the very first time that the world commended is actually used in the scripture as a directive from the Lord.
I'm not following your line of reasoning, so will withdraw from this thread...for a while.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:37-38

Which commandment did Jesus say was first?

Christ and His church are one, what Christ did the church continues to do, the church is an extension of Christ!
To attack the church is to attack Christ!
Acts 9:4

Christ never gave the authority to anyone to change His teachings.

Here is a command that Jesus gave to His Apostles —

Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food. Matthew 10:9-10

Jesus never told His Apostles to start a city in Rome and amass untold wealth, and sell their own coins and stamps.

When a person or organization such as the Vatican, the Watchtower, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints… changes or goes beyond the doctrine of Christ, by adding things such as Popes, Cardinals, who rule from a centralized location of authority, who have untold wealth, their own bank, their own costumes, their own statutes, complete with their own rules and regulations and even an obelisk out in “St Peter’s Square”, they no longer have God.

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 9

Forbidding (priests) to marry is something Paul warned us about.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 1 Timothy 4:1-4

Matthew 16:18 It wasn't Peter that the Church was built on, but Christ is the rock as being the foundation or cornerstone

There was no apostle greater than another as they all had the same anointing and taught others from their own individual witness of Christ and His teachings as being faithful servants, even as Christ was while here on Earth, Luke 22:24-27.

Why do you think the “Bible alone” is the rule of faith for Christians
Or why do you think it MUST be in scripture?

Christ and his church are the rule of faith for Christians! Christ and his church are one. Acts 9:4 the church is the pillar of truth. 1 Tim 3:15
An article must be proposed (taught) by the church. Matt 28:19-20
The way the truth and the life is Jesus Christ! Jn 1:16-17 Jn 14:6

Peter peter peter

Matt 10:2 peter is first

Matthew 5:14-16
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Mt 16:18 Peter received the keys of the kingdom: (jurisdictional authority of the universal church) and the power to bind and loose:

Lk 22:32
Jesus prays for Peter:

Matt 17:27 Jesus and peter are one

Jn 21:17
Peter commanded to Feed my sheep:

Isa 2221-22 prime minister called father!
Holding the keys of the kingdom under the king Lk 1:32-33 in the line of david!
Matt 16:18

Christ founded the church on Peter!
And the apostles!
Matt 16:18 eph 2:20 Jn 20:21-23

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

You CANNOT give the keys (jurisdictional authority) to a confession but to a person! Peter
Vs 19 I give unto thee (Peter) thou shalt bind (Peter) thou shalt loose (Peter)

Only the one true church founded by Christ on Peter and the apostles and their successors and those members of Christ by faith and baptism United with them, the communion of the saints
Jn 16:10 matt 16:18 18:18 Jn 20:21-23
Jn 10:16

Ephesians 5:32
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

The office of apostle that has the three fold office, to teach: to govern the church: and to sanctify by the sacraments or sacred oaths (promises) of the father! Acts 2:38-39 with ez 36:25-27 Heb 8:6

Teaching authority of Peter and the apostles and their successors!

Acts 2:42 doctrine of the apostles

1 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

Jude 1: 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

The holy church does not usurp Christ’s authority, the holy church establishes it throughout the whole world, and thru all time!

The holy apostles do not usurp Christ’s kingdom, the apostles administer the kingdom for Christ who ascended to heaven!

Ephesians 3:21
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Ephesians 5:24
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ...

Christ and His church are one, what Christ did the church continues to do, the church is an extension of Christ!
To attack the church is to attack Christ!
Acts 9:4

What authority does Christ have?
What power does Christ have?
What mission / ministry does Christ have?

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission! Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

The apostles are Christ’s successors!
They have authority to send others as well, apostle means one who is sent!

2 Tim 3: 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Teaching authority of the Apostles and their successors founded in the one true church by Jesus Christ!

Jesus Christ is the head of the church, (eph 5:23) the body of Christ,
(col 1:18) the new and eternal covenant, (pre-figured Jer 31:31) (Heb 8:8) new covenant replaces the Mosaic covenant, (Heb 8:13) holy mother church replaced Israel Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Christ replaces David as king, (Lk 1:32-33) Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and men, (1 Tim 2:5 & Heb 12:24) but a mediator remains on earth mediating between God and His people, but Christ ascended to heaven, (acts 1) before He did He founded His church, on Peter, and the apostles, and their successors!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Acts 1:17 acts 2:42 acts 8:31 & 35 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 16:13
Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42 1 Tim 3:15

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

John 13:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, so send in you. (The apostles) posses the same power mission and authority as Christ!
Peter, the apostles and their successors!

Keys of authority! And power to bind and loose! Matt 16:18 and Matt 18:18

Moral authority:
(Teaching)
Necessity of being taught by Christ:
Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Jurisdictional authority:

Lk 1:4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Matthew 8:14 shows that Peter was married and according to the Catholic belief a Pope can not be married so Peter could have never been the first Pope or ever had a procession of Popes after him. Peter never went to Rome to establish the Roman Catholic Church, but wrote his letters to those who were scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 1Peter 1:1.

Married or not is a discipline and discipline can change

Peter and Paul were martyred in Rome (Babylon)

Peter wrote his letters from Babylon (Babylon as being referenced in Rev 17 as the Great Harlot) as Peter spent the last years of his life in Rome as Rome at that time was described as a center of adultery. Peter wrote his letters to the Church (body of Christ and not a building made by hands) possibly around 64AD right before the full outbreak of Christian persecution by the hand of Rome's Nero. Paul's letters were also addressed to all who are beloved of God in Rome. Not the Roman Catholic Church, but those who were beloved of God established by that rock which is Christ Jesus and. The last chapter of the book of Romans Paul sends greetings to 27 members of the church (the body of Christ), but never mentions Peter. According to the tradition of the Catholic Church of Rome, Peter was there from 42 to 67 AD. Paul wrote the book of Romans around 58 AD. Now if Peter was in Rome from 42 to 67 AD that means by 58 AD that Peter should have been there for about 16 years. Not only that but the Roman Catholic Church tradition tells us that he was the first Pope. Why didn't Paul acknowledge Peter in His writings as being the head of the Catholic Church (Pope) since he was addressing those who were beloved of God that lived there. The reason Paul didn’t mention Peter is because Peter wasn’t there. Peter was crucified by Nero prior to Nero's death in 68 AD. Why would Catholic Rome crucify their own Pope.

It was pagan Rome!

The church (kingdom) conquered Rome by the conversion of Constantine
Dan 2:44
What is your purpose repeating what I already posted in post #69.

Bible

You asked:
Why do you think the “Bible alone” is the rule of faith for Christians
Or why do you think it MUST be in scripture?

The Bible alone is not our rule of faith, but teaches us what faith is. If the church is not teaching from the inspired word of God for what He had the Prophets and Apostles to write then they are presenting a different gospel taught by the father of lies. If it is not found in scripture then we will not believe the spirit of deception that likes to cause division.

Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Funny. 4 entire pages filled with posts and the typical misc bickering and not a single mention of the very first and easiest commandment to "man" to recall

Gen 2:
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Yes, that was the first commandment given to Adam, but what we are speaking of is what was the first commandment of the original 10, or I should say the first seven given to Noah after the flood. Although many do continue to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Noahic Laws:
Not to worship idols.
Not to curse God.
To establish courts of justice.
Not to commit murder.
Not to commit adultery or sexual immorality.
Not to steal.
Not to eat flesh torn from a living animal.

Mt. Sinai Laws:
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make idols.
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.

This is what Jesus said is the greatest commandment of all of them as if we could just follow this one then we can live by all of them within the moral parts of the 613 Mosaic laws.

Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Yes, that was the first commandment given to Adam
All of God's Words are given to all of us. Every.Last.Jot.And.Tittle.

Matt. 4:4, Luke 4:4

Reading the command to Adam and blowing it off as applicable only to Adam maybe missed the point altogether

I made the observation earlier that the devil(s) are also moved by the commandment, to RESIST or SIN if you prefer, and this resistance transpires in the minds of PEOPLE. Mark 4:15

The commands, all of them, are actually and always were meant to be against the devils, and they will never obey them, ever. They were made to resist and do so...

IN MANKIND,

without exception other than God Himself in Christ

Few understand that the LAWS are written against DEVILS because they do not see themselves in the reality Light of Mark 4:15, and in fact can not because of the fact of it

Most who read Mark 4:15 will actually hear a voice in their head, rising as if by COMMAND that says: "This does not happen to you because YOU are a believer"

and nothing could be further from the fact

Such are actually still under control of Satan and do NOT believe Jesus' Statement applies to them i.e. they are in UNbelief of Jesus' Words, while thinking they believe

Unbelief is a nasty snaky critter and will NEVER concede that Jesus' Statement is a SPOT ON FACT

If you eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then how can you love God with all your heart? How can you love God with all your heart when you place the words of the book, the knowledge of good and evil, above all that is called God? For in the day you eat thereof your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil.

Do you understand that you yourself have eaten the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?

One can not "live" by the law, as the law can not give life. With the knowledge of the law comes only death. As God tole Adam, in the day you eat thereof, you shall surely die.

There are laws (commandments) of God that were especially written just for the Hebrews pertaining to the rituals of the Temple, sacrifices, festivals, Torah, Kohanim and Levites, the King and the Nazarite. Then there are the existing moral laws (commandments) for all of us to still follow as in prayers and blessings, love and brotherhood. The poor and unfortunate, treatment of the Gentiles, Marriage, divorce and family. Forbidden sexual relations, business practices, employees and servants. Vows, oaths, swearing, Court and Judicial procedures. Injuries and damages, property and property rights, criminal laws. Prophecy, idolatry and all its practices as the moral laws (commandments) keep us in line with the will of God.

We need to present ourselves a vessel of honor that God delights in as we allow the light of Christ shine in us and through us. This is a testimony of Gods grace and mercy as it is not ourselves that do any good thing, but Gods Spirit working in us and through us as we surrender our will to that of Gods will to be done.

Morality in God is His greatest commandment of love as we treat others as we want others to treat us. God is love and wants us to love and treat others as He loves and treats us.

Mark 4:15 is part of the parable about the sower who sows the word of God. The seeds (word of God) that are sown in stony ground, or those who hear, but as soon as they hear Satan comes and steals the word from them because they heard, but never received it unto themselves.

If you eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then how can you love God with all your heart? Do you understand that you yourself have eaten the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
Where did I say we put the tree of good and evil above God? It's the evil everyday we deal with now that tempts us as God has had to show us that which is evil and not to fall to it's temptations.

One can not "live" by the law, as the law can not give life. With the knowledge of the law comes only death. As God tole Adam, in the day you eat thereof, you shall surely die.
This is why Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-40 that the greatest commandment is love. If we are walking with love in our hearts for God then we also need to be walking in love for our neighbor being obedient to the moral parts of the laws.

Where did I say we put the tree of good and evil above God?

Never said you did. But the scripture does. You seem to have problems with rhetorical questions.

This one was not rhetorical though: Do you understand the you YOURSELF have eaten the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?

Apparently I am not understanding your post #89.

This may seem totally foreign at first.
Romans 1:20 really says we should get something out of these parts of our anatomy.

Please pray I do this correctly.

The reins / kidneys are a method the body uses to eliminate bad stuff from the blood (which is from various places).

Notice the snake head at the top of the Loop of Henle. In us lies symbolism of our being bitten by Satan and the removal of trash from our body. It is a natural process made by God.
God removed the bad angels from heaven. We are to cast down vain imaginations from our thoughts.
So
In one sense the reins / kidneys are more flesh than our mind, but the concept of removal of evil is similar.

You will notice red and blue blood next to the loop. We have part of ourselves that needs cleansing, and path that has been cleansed.

This all looks like the snake on a pole in the wilderness. If the people looked on the pole mounted brazen serpent they would be healed.

Jesus is the upgraded method of salvation that was on the cross. We look to Jesus to be saved. He ascended to Heaven and became a quickening spirit which directs our heart.

The cerebellum tree is planted on both sides of the river of life. IMHO we can examine the OT and NT thoughts of salvation in the cerebellum. Our battle is in this area.

In the brain there is no specific symbolism (temple?). Much like heaven we can serve God in the spirit of our mind. Jesus provides the Light in heaven.

All this will be changed at the resurrection?

Look.
Think.

I can come back to post #89, but first, can you answer my very simple question of you?

Do you understand the you YOURSELF have eaten the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
Of course, I believe we have all eaten the fruit for none of us are without sin in the flesh.

Of course, I believe we have all eaten the fruit for none of us are without sin in the flesh.

Sin is of the Law. Paul in the book of Romans tells us that sin is not imputed when there is no law. When there is no law, then what power does sin have?

Most focus on things that tempt us in the flesh, but there is a temptation that comes with the law that is spiritual. What was the temptation that Adam and Eve succumbed to? What was it the serpent tempted them with? And what reason did the Lord give for booting them from the garden and preventing the way to the tree of life?

Paul is correct that sin is not imputed when there is no law. This we can agree on, but the first law established for ma to follow started with Adam who ignored God's law as he lusted of the fruit of good and evil breaking fellowship with God. The skins of animals God clothed Adam and Eve with was the first blood sacrifice for their exposed sin. Also a foreshow of the last blood sacrifice through Christ who has once and for all made atonement for all man's sin as God calls all to repent and turn back to Him.

Romans 1:18-31 is all about the reason and results of the Gentiles quilt. Vs. 20 The Gentiles knew God, but never glorified Him as God as even in the invisible attributes of God seen in nature of all He created in the beginning they have chosen from the beginning of generations to walk away from God.

Noahic (Noah) Commandments are seven commandments first given to Adam by God before the flood and brought to remembrance by God to Noah after the flood, which are binding on both Jew and Gentile as there were no Jew or Gentile in the days of Noah. Abraham was the first one to be called a Hebrew, Genesis 14:13.

Beginning with Genesis 2:16 the Babylonian Talmud listed six commandments given first to Adam and then again to Noah after the flood. The seven make up the first parts of the ten that God gave to Moses on Mt Sinai in Exodus 20. Below is a comparison list of the seven and the full ten which are all a part of the 613 laws given to Moses as some were for the Hebrews pertaining to the rituals of the Temple, sacrifices, festivals, Torah, Kohanim and Levites, the King and the Nazarite and then there are the existing moral laws (commandments) for all, Jew and Gentile to follow. Christ did not come to destroy all the laws, but to fulfill the parts of the Temple and sacrifices, Matthew 5:17-22.

Noahic Laws:
Not to worship idols.
Not to curse God.
To establish courts of justice.
Not to commit murder.
Not to commit adultery or sexual immorality.
Not to steal.
Not to eat flesh torn from a living animal.

This we can agree on, but the first law established for ma to follow started with Adam who ignored God's law as he lusted of the fruit of good and evil breaking fellowship with God.

What was it of the fruit did he lusted after? Was it not the he would be as God, knowing good and evil? When God barred the way to the tree of life, did not the Lord say man has become one of us, knowing good and evil?

There is a temptation that comes with the knowledge of good and evil, a temptation that comes with scripture, the written of God. The temptation to presume you are speaking on behalf of the Lord because you can read the words of a book. There are many who are quick to defend the scripture, who are more interested in the authenticity of the scripture as the word of God rather than the Lord himself. Many promote the words of the book as a fruit to be desired, a fruit to make one wise.

You agreed with me that sin is not imputed where there is no law. If you are in Christ, then you are no longer under the law, but dead to it; and if you are dead to it, then your sins are no longer imputed to you. Going back to my post #89, the Man of Sin is a man holding up the laws of God, imputing sins to men that God has already been nailed to the cross. The man of sin is one who reads the words of the book, and then presumes to speak to God. Reading the words of a book, proclaiming the words of God for himself, showing himself that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:9
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

What was the working of the Serpent in the garden? Was it not to convince them that the knowledge of good and evil was good for them, that God was lying, and that the fruit would make them wise so that they would be as God, knowing good and evil? The serpent would have you elevate the word of God above God himself. If you elevate the words of the book and the oracles of God above His Spirit and then presume to speak for God because you now posses this knowledge, then are you truly loving God with all your heart?
