Jesus taught us the way to become saved is to believe.

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore…” There seems to be a condition for grace.
They are not necessary conditions man performs in order to cause God to save them. Thats salvation by works 1

Where is the scripture that says “He gave them repentance“?
Thats a basic salvation truth, God/Christ gives Repentance, its comes in the package/Gift of Salvation Acts 5:31
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
A Savior gives repentance
Acts 11:18
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
2 Tim 2:25
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
So if you condition salvation on your repentance, you condition salvation on works.
Repentance is conditioned on Christs saving work, that which makes Him a Prince and Saviour !
You dont see because you have chosen to close your eyes to the truth, and reject what He says.
