You don't know because you only read scripture while "Proof-texting". That failure to understand the text in its context bleeds over when people try to dialogue with you. You don't take the time to understand their point, you are too busy gathering prooftexts to throw at them.
"Wondering" kept asking you questions till she gave up. Just asking you to explain the logic of your position. You couldn't hear her, "Elvis already left the building looking for more prooftexts".
I tried to share with you a simple point. Although the wording is "men don't seek God", the surrounding context supplies the missing premise: "they don't seek [the true] God" because their understanding is corrupt, dark.
History PROVES men seek god all the time, all the religions that exist in history are the evidence.
Paul even found an idol "to an Unknown God", proving they feared not finding all the gods. Can't say "they don't seek god", they certainly did. But their dark minds couldn't seek the true God, so Paul had to enlighten them:
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;
23 "for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:
(Acts 17:22-23 NKJ)
If you weren't proof-texting, then you would understand neither Paul or the Psalmist was saying men don't seek God, both are saying the corrupt and evil dark minds of man don't seek the God of light, they look for substitute gods.
Now read the Bible texts again, I bold faced the words that supply the missing premise: They are filthy minded, have gone aside to find a filthy god they prefer, a god that would excuse their filth and unrighteousness. They have gone out of the way of truth, to believe in lies.
They turn away from the True God because He is Light:
19 "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. (Jn. 3:19-20 NKJ)
Read carefully what the Psalmist and Paul are saying and you will agree, God's complaint is men seek false gods, not the true God:
Ps 14:2-3
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Rom 3:10-12
10 As it is written[scripture], There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
The likelihood you read and understood this reply is zero. But I'm sure Wondering got a laugh from it.
