Flesh gives birth to flesh, but Spirit gives birth to spirit.
Accordingly Jesus was speaking of being born from above by the Spirit in regard to this new birth. (Born of God)
This is cohesive with Pauls writings about those who belong to Christ.
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And

How do we receive this Spirit? by the Church or by grace through faith in Christ?
