Do you ever resolve such "Sin" problems?
As Christians how do you tackle this sin nature you have. Also how do you deal with other people when they reveal their sin nature to you?
I am taking from what you said above that you had a bad experience. That's a very nice reply, you seem very mature about this subject. I remember telling some Christians about my "Sins" once, I'll never do that again. But you sound like one in a million Reba.
It's easy WarZero.
You don't tackle it.
What happens is that one day you realize that God is real.
Then you start to understand about this idea of Jesus dying for you.
It sounds a bit like nonsense before this.
When this happens, you start to love Jesus for what He did.
Then you just don't want to sin and hurt His feelings.
But we always will because the sin nature is put under submission, but it's still there.
It just cuts sinning down a lot.
We start to understand God's love for us.
Much of your to do list that is posted is scriptural, however it doesn't give a Believer victory over sin, the world, the flesh and the Devil. Only the "Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2)", gives the Believer victory:I struggle, with God's help, to replace habitual, toxic, self-destructive behavior with life sustaining behavior as prescribed by the Bible.
It takes time and persistence and perseverance, prayer and reading of scripture.
We all suffer from the self-centeredness that is the general issue of the so-called "sin nature."
The way to deal with it in others is to obey God's command to love one another. And that takes practice so, we keep practicing until we get good at it. (But we never stop practicing.)
iakov the fool
I never suggested that it did.Much of your to do list that is posted is scriptural, however it doesn't give a Believer victory over sin,
Jesus says in John 15 verse 5b that without Him we can do nothing. Now the sin nature cannot be handled or put to check or ruled over except you get the help of God.As Christians how do you tackle this sin nature you have. Also how do you deal with other people when they reveal their sin nature to you?
I subdue it and practice doing God's will. Eventually, I get good at doing that.As Christians how do you tackle this sin nature you have.
I deal with them like they are just like me.Also how do you deal with other people when they reveal their sin nature to you?
Scripture defines sin in multiple places so that we can know what it is.First off I was taught that only God can decide what is "sin" and what isn't,
That is nonsense.anybody else calling people "sinners" or calling actions "sins" are assuming His role.
!!! :shockBut addressing your question, the world is evil...it belongs to satan,in order to NOT be part of it I had to lock myself in a apartment for 20 yrs.
Habitual drunkards are "sinners"?Scripture defines sin in multiple places so that we can know what it is.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
That is nonsense.
If someone tells a lie and I know it's a lie, I also know it's a sin.
If someone is a habitual drunkard, I know that person is a sinner.
!!! :shock
Why?
Christ has overcome the world. (Jhn 16:33)
And Greater is He who is in you (Christ) than he who is in the world. (Satan.)( 1Jo 4:4)
And the gates of hell cannot withstand the assault of the children of God. (Mat 16:18)
Where does it say that being a drunkard is a "sin"? admittedly I don't know much about the Bible but I do know some.Scripture defines sin in multiple places so that we can know what it is.

Here are a few references I found rather quickly and there are many more.Where does it say that being a drunkard is a "sin"? admittedly I don't know much about the Bible but I do know some.
That's what scripture says.Habitual drunkards are "sinners"? "Sinners" don't get to Heaven?
Heaven. They were NO LONGER drunkards. Saints are people who have repented of their sins and been born again.Where'd those saints that were drunks go after they died?
?????? What has that to do with anything? You probably also think that only your race is going to Heaven right?
Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.Where does it say that being a drunkard is a "sin"?
admittedly I don't know much about the Bible
When you have learned a great deal more about that Bible from reading it over and over, you will know the answer to that question. You kinda backward ain't ya?
I don't believe I've ever seen this and answered it.I also believe in the creator, but it is one which has reveled itself to me.
I've tried to pair my super natural experiences with many other faiths, but it's hit and miss.
Why not?Nothing that would interest you unless you were thinking of leaving Christianity.
!. Repent. As Christians how do you tackle this sin nature you have.
Try to remember that I'm no better. Also how do you deal with other people when they reveal their sin nature to you?
