So, you have the Zeal of Christ? I know Christ and you have nothing in common with Him. I think you have more in common with anti-christ. the accuser of the brothern. The person who has the same zeal as Christ, will do what Christ did and taught.
Its getting bedtime for me anyway. You know you could let me wear one of these "whip snappers" out sometime? It seems you always come in and save them from the beating they give to others everytime? I guess thats your job?Enough bashing others... on all sides good grief guys .... Christians can have differing views and still be in the arms of Christ.
Is this the only side of God you know Felix? Here is some more of HimThe true Jesus Christ who I worship will:
.
- Feeds the birds with human flesh (Rev 19:17-18)
- Curses cities and towns (Luke 10:13)
- Make the body feed with worms (Acts 12:23)
- Destroys fornicators (1Cor 3:16-17)
- Hates people like Easu (Rom 9:13)
- Kill children (Rev 2:21-23)
- Vomit fake Christians (Rev 3:15-16)

Joh_10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Luk 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Joh_13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Luk_23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
1Jn_1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
There is only one specific formula given in the New Testament to discern between true and false prophets. It was given by Jesus himself. See Matt. 7:15-20.A false prophet to me is one who does not teach/preach on how to obtain salvation in this lifetime and eternal life after death with the scriptures that have been give to us but still preaches Jesus. What is a false prophet to you?

So we are just to ignore all Pauls, Peters, Johns, etc.. warnings about those false phophets and teachers? No! all the scriptures are true all the time. All are given to us "believers" by the Holy Spirit and are to be considered . As a matter of fact if one does not understand Pauls gospel, they can never understand those who teach a false gospel. There is only one specific formula given in the New Testament to discern between true and false prophets. Sauls problem was he was a legalistic angry man, who thought he was doing gods work in destroying Gods people. Sauls battle was against the grace and goodness of God. But he had murder in his heart for those God had given His sure mercy.Felix, you hit the nail right on the head. The formula should work today the same as in Biblical times. Christ and the apostles taught doctrine that was radical to the scripture quoting Jews of their time. If they tested whether John the Baptist, Jesus or Peter were true prophets by whether they agreed with their interpretation of the scriptures, they would never discover the full gospel offered by Christ. That was Saul's problem before he had his encounter with Christ.

I do not see any understanding of Christ nor His teachings nor those of the Apostles in any of felix's post, nor yours for that matter. Different Jesus, different spirit, and a different gospel, is what I see.
New Testament (except Revelation) is not Scripture. Neither Christ nor Apostles or disciples who wrote them referred to their own letters as Scripture.
Scripture always includes only the Old Testament.
2 Peter 3 NASBI'm afraid Peter doesn't agree with you.
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless.
15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation ; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you
16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Unfortunately, Christ disagrees with you. It is not what they preach but what "fruits" they bear.
This is how we KNOW those who are Christ? They have love one for another. They even love the sinner. .
