You won't understand how God must have always been enforcing justice perfectly until you realize that humans/3 dimensional beings aren't the only beings suffering for everything to have always been balanced/to maintain the balance.

Sometimes what most would consider to be cruelty is a necessary act for justice to be enforced.

As a general principle when interpreting Scripture, we take the plain (literal) meaning of the text and that includes interpreting figures of speech as such and symbols as symbols. We read the Bible like we read any other literature, including the Brisbane Courier-Mail. My goal is to interpret according to the intent of the authors and the literary style used. I don't read the imagery of poetry (e.g. the Psalms) in the same way I read the historical narratives (e.g. 1 & 2 Kings). We tend to get bare facts from historical narratives.

Do you know NT Greek uses hapax in Heb 9:27, ‘it is appointed for people to die hapax‘. What is the meaning of hapax? Does it mean to die multiple times, 10 times, twice or once?

Let’s check the leading Greek lexicon, Bauer, Arndt & Gingrich (BAG 1957:89) which gives the meaning of hapax:

‘As an actual numerical concept, ‘I was stoned once’ (2 Cor 11:25); in Heb 9:26 we have the Greek phrase phanerow hapax, speaking of Jesus ‘has appeared once’ – numerically.

BAG includes this example under the ‘actual numerical concept of once’ = once only. Why did Jesus appear this one time? In Heb 9:26, it states: ‘to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself’. He came only once, hapax, to do that. How often was Jesus sacrificed for sin? The same number of times a person dies (in v. 27) – only once.

Do you know NT Greek uses hapax in Heb 9:27, ‘it is appointed for people to die hapax‘. What is the meaning of hapax? Does it mean to die multiple times, 10 times, twice or once?

Let’s check the leading Greek lexicon, Bauer, Arndt & Gingrich (BAG 1957:89) which gives the meaning of hapax:

‘As an actual numerical concept, ‘I was stoned once’ (2 Cor 11:25); in Heb 9:26 we have the Greek phrase phanerow hapax, speaking of Jesus ‘has appeared once’ – numerically.

BAG includes this example under the ‘actual numerical concept of once’ = once only. Why did Jesus appear this one time? In Heb 9:26, it states: ‘to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself’. He came only once, hapax, to do that. How often was Jesus sacrificed for sin? The same number of times a person dies (in v. 27) – only once.


BAG again places hapax as an ‘actual numerical concept of once’ in Heb 9:28: ‘prospherw hapax eis anapherw hamartia‘ = offered once to bear sins.

So the once in Heb 9:27 means one time only, numerically. There is no second time death and rebirth over and over. Reincarnation is not taught in Scripture.

Why do you insist on refusing to do anything but traditional bible theology to guide your thinking about what the bible could say? It's circular reasoning that you've been displaying this entire thread. Just test out some verses & keep an open mind to the theology I presented. What's so hard about that? Are you afraid that the theology I presented could be untrue & if you tested it out youd have wasted a lot of time?

My friend, any time spent towards uncovering biblical truth is nothing short of time well spent. I have no clue why you'd believe otherwise. So you being biased towards the theology I presented is completely ignorant to that.
