If the bible isn't a book where every verse has a symbolic meaning to it, then why do many of the traditional bible teachings have some flaws?

Im saying some verses have both a literal & symbolic meaning & I'm saying not every verse has a literal meaning but every verse has a symbolic meaning.

Please share with me the symbolic meaning of these verses:

16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. 17 Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah, that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. 18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king's house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus.... (1 Kings 15:16-18 ESV).

First of all I never said every bible version has all the correct translations. In fact, if my memory serves right here, I literally stated that only the KJV has all the correct translations. So obviously IF I did state that in this thread already you must've been too careless to pay attention to that.

Some of the words used in this translation may be wrong. So please post the KJV of the same verse, THEN I'll give a symbolic meaning.

people wrote down their false interpretations in the bible of what they thought Jesus Christ said. Everyone has a different father.

Who are these people you speak of? Can you name them? Where is your undeniable proof come from in who is teaching you these things? You had better give your source for all of this as you are bordering on blaspheme, especially saying Jesus Christ and Christ Jesus are two different people and one is not the Son of God and that everyone has a different father.

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

I was told of these things through God's divine intervention in my life. A person I met told me of these things.

So you have no factual proof for what you speak of, but only hear say from someone else you allow to seduce you in believing their lies as you are following traditional flawed teachings of others. Many of us have been where you are now, but it was when our Spiritual eyes and ears were opened when we were indwelled with the Holy Spirit that we started seeking truth learning the doctrines of Jesus for what He has already taught and the Prophets and Apostles testify of those teachings.

We have been trying to show you by giving you scriptures that some are literal where they need to be literal and some Spiritual where we need a deeper learning as the Holy Spirit reveals those mysteries of the Spiritual that the carnal mind can not understand. There are also some verses that are literal and Spiritual in what God wants us to learn.

If you are going to pick apart each verse to try and reason something Spiritual within it that is not there then you are going to miss out on the full doctrine of Christ that is literal for our learning through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can teach us all things as we learn to Spiritually discern what is being taught us by others as there are only two spirits that operate as one is truth and the other error, John 14:26; 1 John 2:27; 4:1-6.

TP,

I didn't ask which Bible version has the correct translations. My question to you was: Please share with me the symbolic meaning of (1 Kings 15:16-18 ESV).

So far in this thread, you've presented your opinion that 'every verse [in the Bible] has a symbolic meaning' (#5).

That is your assertion or personal opinion. You haven't demonstrated that to us. Then you have the time-worn comment that only the KJV provides the best translation. This has been refuted over and over but you won't accept that refutation, e.g. D A Carson, The King James Version Debate: A Plea for Realism.

I would rather present the KJV symbolic meaning than the ESV symbolic meaning of that verse. Why? Well long story short, the interpretation of the Bible I use says it would be spiritually better for me to show the KJV symbolic meaning of the verse:

16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17 And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

Firstly, the names mean things, they're not just words used as references to what people were called. I will not reveal what the names mean though.

Secondly all I will tell you is that the symbolic meaning of each word is = to the MAIN spiritual use of each word. That should be enough to go off of.

Are they words to explain historical facts?

This gives us nothing to go on. Why will you not reveal what the names mean as you should if you want to prove your points as you view them. Other than that you have not given us any symbolism meaning of any verse we have presented to you. Why is that?

I think it would be for your best interest to not listen to this man who is teaching you such heresies and get into the word for yourself and ask the Holy Spirit teach you.

I will not reveal the name meanings because I am better off not, my very own karma is dependent on if I reveal the meanings or not.

So you come up with some kind of "out there" huge theological position that differs from every reputable theologian and expert in history and when asked to explain yourself you refuse...

Yeah...I'm sorry but I am not buying what you are selling.

I'm not using the traditional bible interpretations. For a supposed devote christian you sure are close-minded to any new ideas.

Not even...
I have several research scientists and linguistics experts as friends from around the world.
From time to time they share their research projects and thesises with me. One of the lastest is the 3-4-7 theme that runs across scriptures and how it relates. Also Anthropologists and Archeologist explain the different cultural norms and locations for various time periods...and how that relates to the various stories in scripture.

Some of the things that they have shared are brand spanking new concepts to me.

But they are careful with explaining themselves very completely and with details going from the general to the specific with proofs. And I've found many new truths of scripture because of their diligence.
And usually I find the unusual relief look on their face because their explanations seem to provide it...as if a great pressure has been vented.

So...
None of what I have experienced in the past is coming through in anything you have posted here.
However you do have the characteristics of another group of people we, on this forum, have experienced... rather repeatedly. And it isn't a positive label on this group of individuals. But you have exhibited their behavior rather precisely.

Karma has no place in Christianity as karma is the sum of a persons actions in a past life and the life they are living now as in what Hinduism and Buddhism teaches. Do you follow those teachings as this is what you are trying to present to us in the heresies they teach.

Your 'very own karma'??? Please defend that statement from Scripture.
Id have to prove that the bible says reincarnation is real. But that wouldn't be a practical task for me to take on, given a schedule I am using.

But I will ask you this much:

If God is/has always been capable of manipulating all concepts while enforcing justice perfectly, then why would he not make reincarnation real?
