Did you know that the only way Bea Benaderet was able to star in Petticoat Junction was to continue guest starring on The Beverly Hillbillies as Jethro & Jethrine Bodine's mother Pearl? She wanted to break away from TBH, but she couldn't get Henning to agree. So she had to continue the guest starring along with working full time on Petticoat Junction. When her health started to suffer, the writers eased her out a bit on Petticoat Junction.

During the run of the show, there were 2 planes. But both were named (for the show) Songbird

I remember taking my parents to a movie that I really wanted to go to.It was the night before they were going on a trip to Hawaii.They left me home that time :mad.They told me that I could pick a movie.Obviously they were guilty.It was a drive-in and it was called "The High and The Mighty" with John Wayne.The movie was about a plane going to Hawaii that crashed .My mom said she was a nervous wreck getting on that plane the next day.
