Lets talk about homosexuality. + my experience being a lesbian

I am writing this as a mother who delt with this very issue with a child, as a former mental health institution medication administrator and a follower of The Lord Jesus Christ. I am speaking the truth in love, knowing first hand that this is a very serious and ensnaring, sexual desire that needs to end before the cross of Jesus Christ.

It is an incorrect statement that gay or lesbian tendencies are a mental issue or a human flaw.. this is a carnal desire/lust- This Truth has to be established first.

Romans 1
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Romans 1 gives insight and understanding of where this comes from and it starts with a lie that is believed, affirmed, and goes unharnessed into depravity if not repented of.

It is vitality important that:
1. It is identified and confessed as sin before God and repented of.
2. Cleansing be asked for the conscience, mind and body.
3. A commitment is made to renounce and reject this sin, asking God to help you, and deliver you.

Jesus sets the captives free!!
He will do it every time for anyone who comes to Him!!

I write all of the above so anyone reading gains insight, truth and the victory!

I just want to say that homosexuality and children with cancer have the same root cause:
the sin nature. Everything is affected by the sin nature.
Think about it...Nothing new.

Disillusioned. Busy. Don’t care too much who do now and they’ll make snarky comments about their gay friends our age who go on and on about their relationships and getting married..,

In your OP you briefly mentioned being abused. Child abuse is so common but it is something we tend to discount as a factor in how it shapes our later lives.

I have not read the thread (7 pages and counting!) so I may be saying stuff that has already been said.

We live in a fallen world. That can affect our likes and desires in a very negative way. Many claim that there is no such thing as someone who is "Born gay." I tend to disagree with that, for a couple of reasons:

We are born into a fallen world, and even with believing parents, we are still sinners.
Also, we have a very aggressive enemy called the devil who has his minions of demons. They can invade us even in utero. That can change all kinds of things in our minds and bodies.

My advice is to keep your eyes on our Lord. He will lead and guide you in the way you should go.

We are physical. I'm sorry it is difficult to explain. I guess the best way to explain is we make love, we don't have sex. Sex is a form of using another person's genitals to masturbate. Making love is connecting our bodies and much more based on our emotions and love for each other, not based on trying to orgasm (although it does usually end up happening).

I think I get what you are saying. Interesting way of differentiating between sex and making love. I am not sure the Bible makes the same distinction.

The Song of Solomon (especially if read in the Hebrew) has a lot to say about sexual stuff. All in a positive light. But yes, the deep emotions are certainly at work there in SoS, not just getting off for its own sake. (although the way God designed us, we do need that regularly)

Remember, it was God who designed orgasms; they are His gift to us.

I think it’s because of Christianity’s emphasis on lifelong monogamy that gay relationships are not ok . Monogamous relationships are a rarity in the gay world especially long term. Honestly? If the gay world was not so crazy making and generally a dead end lifestyle I’d question Christian morality on this one too. But…

Yeah…reality, bites. In general the longer people I know of stay in the gay community the more miserable they become.

Both my daughters were in the LGBTQ community lifestyles and God single handled delivered them and now on fire for Christ. They have zero desires for the same sex or following the lies. We all struggle with our carnal beliefs but understanding that it isn't from God but suggestions from Satan to deceive, tempt and make you doubt God's Word. As a survivor of childhood sexual assault and knowing many others, both male and female, who were also abused...... overwhelmingly homosexuality is a result of being targeted, groomed, brainwashed, molested and raped into it. I saw it happen time and again. Today it is a talking point by homosexuals to deny childhood abuse and to emphasize the " born that way" propaganda. Yes, in most cases, homosexuality in imposed on the innocent. Many times it was a loved one who did this and the " let's keep this a little secret" prevails.
When someone does this to a child, it is tantamount to attempted spiritual murder. The abuse changes the child's perception of what is sexually "normal". This twists the child into desperately trying to process and justify this new sexuality. God does not accept homosexuality no matter what form.....thought, word nor deed will pass with Him. We are not responsible for what happened to us in our childhood, BUT we are responsible for how we respond to that abuse in our adulthood. Christ and obedience to Him is the only way.
Sorry, but I've been through way too much to play political correct justification word games with this very serious and critical issue facing the Church and those affected by this.

I'm so friggen exhausted with this topic. I'm gay. My sibling is trans and bisexual, and was never sexually abused. We turned out this way despite being homeschooled and taught that homosexuality was the worst thing possible. My sibling agonized over their bisexuality and gender dysphoria for a long time due to having repressed those feelings due to the way our parents handled it.

I can't speak for everyone, but for me it's not a trauma thing. I have trauma, but I don't belive it's connected. I have heard from people for whom it apparently was a trauma thing and it resolved once they addressed their trauma and healed. But I don't think that's all of us.

We never said all people who are homosexual have been abused, but most have. And many know it's not completely normal. I can even go as far to say something in you is calling you out, or else, what would you have to do with this site?

I have a theory that those who struggle most with their sexuality, are dealing with hypersexuality. Which is a symptom of deep trauma. And since they are hypersexual, they have a much much harder time repressing it and ignoring it.
For them, the gay part may or may not be also a trauma response.

Those who are not hypersexual may be able to ignore their orientation for most or even all their life. I've known multiple people who have told me in some form that they have been attracted to the same sex before, but they don't seem to consider themselves gay or bi officially

I've never heard the term hypersexuality, but as a kid, I was told by a girl that I was oversexed (she committed suicide via drug overdose in highschool because of childhood sexual assault). I guess psychobabble finds a way to hyper-complicate things in order to diffuse, deflect, invalidate any relationship the pedo/homo connection has to the accepted LBGT narrative. ALL who were sexually assaulted as kids were traumatized to a greater or lesser degree. Some even liked it. (though I believe they were spiritually traumatized nonetheless)
Again it just seems another attempt to push the "born that way" narrative to protect perpetrators. Why is it so very important to shield the perpetrators? Because there are very powerful entities involved. The Freemasons are the largest pedo-ring in the history of mankind. They infect the inner power rings of government and media thereby controlling the narrative to avoid accountability.
The "born that way" narrative hides the fact that unless the mass harvesting of the innocent children of heterosexuals is allowed to continue....homosexuals become near extinct.

An exclusively gay identity and lifestyle seems to be a modern creation. Economic? Social? Both? I dunno

Pre Freud etc ones sexuality was defined in terms of behavior not identities. Now identity trumps behavior as in those cases where people leave long term spouses because they have to be true to themselves etc.
