Losing Salvation after getting saved?

Does God love the World? Yes

Does the fact that God loves the world mean all the world is saved? No

The fact that God loves US does not mean we are garaunteed to be saved.

JLB

Do you understand what chosen and elect mean?

Rom 8:33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

What in the world are you talking about?

What sin do you accuse me of?

JLB
Oh I'm sorry, I thought we had discussed this before. Are you saying you never sin? You are truly sanctified.
1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. I admit I've went over the speed limit.

Nope sorry. Chosen is chosen.

Rom 8:33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1

God chose us before the foundation of the world to walk in the good works He has.

Unfortunately many, through false teaching, will refuse those works and instead live a carnal lifestyle of walking in the flesh.

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. Titus 1;16

No works. No faith.

No faith. No salvation.

No faith, no pleasing God.

Believe for a while = saved for a while.

Believe for a while = unbelief.

You accused me of being determined to sin on purpose.

What sin do you accuse me of?

Either state the specific sin you are accusing me of, or retract your AD Hominem statement, Eugene!

Where in this verse is the word salvation mentioned?

JLB how do you sleep at night knowing you could go to hell at any moment. how do you sleep knowing your salvation isn't secure.

JLB how do you sleep at night knowing you could go to hell at any moment. how do you sleep knowing your salvation isn't secure.

My Salvation is secure, because my faith continues everyday.

If I quit believing in Jesus Christ and fall away, then my salvation would not be secure, because I have become an unbeliever.

Unbelievers have their part in the lake of fire.

Take heed when you think you stand lest you fall.

By humility and the fear of The Lord are riches honor and life.

JLB

The chosen or the elect have already obtained salvation JLB Rom 8:33.

Nobody obtains salvation until the end of their, when they have remained steadfast until the end.

THE END OF YOUR FAITH IS THE SALVATION OF YOUR SOUL!

Not the beginning of your faith, but the end of your faith. 1 Peter 1:9

So what if you one day stop believing in Jesus Christ and you die of a heart attack. That doesn't concern you in the least?

Nobody obtains salvation until the end of their, when they gave remained steadfast until the end.

Wrong, you obtain salvation when you come to faith and believe that Jesus is your savior and Lord. Rom 10:9.

Are you seriously saying we have never discussed that we sin. If we have not I withdraw what I said and will begin a search of our past debates. My contention is that all commit sin, and it is not accidental sin.

This is what you said to me - Yeah, that makes me wonder why you remain so determined to sin on purpose.

What sin on purpose are you accusing me of ?

State sin that you accuse me of doing on purpose , Eugene.

If you don't then please retract your statement, or if you are not willing to do that, then kindly just leave me alone.

So what if you one day stop believing in Jesus Christ and you die of a heart attack. That doesn't concern you in the least?Rom 10:9.

I'm not going to stop believing and trusting in Christ, ever.

He is my daily source.

Wrong, you obtain salvation when you come to faith and believe that Jesus is your savior and Lord.

If you still have faith in Christ for salvation, you the evidence of the thing NOT SEEN!

If you have faith in Christ for salvation, then you are still hoping for the reality of the salvation that Jesus Christ will tangibly grant to you when He comes...

That why the scripture says -

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28

Can you acknowledge that you see that salvation is associated with the second coming or appearing of Jesus Christ?

JLB

I'm not going to stop believing and trusting in Christ, ever.

He is my daily source.

But you live in a fallen world, the only perfect being was Jesus Christ.

So I ask you again, if you fall into sin and you die before you repent, you're going to hell according to you.

JLB and Jethro Bodine 1 Peter 1:9 Another scripture taken out of context. The way you read the Bible is to expand on your chapters JLB.

Praise to God for a Living Hope 1 Peter 1:3-9
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

JLB and Jethro, I'm gonna pray for you so that Jesus might intercede for you and bring you to this truth of salvation. I can't continue on with you, I'm sorry. I've honestly done all that I can. I'm leaving this up to God to intercede now. I'm praying that the Holy Spirit will reveal what he needs for you to understand him and his grace. Best of luck to you man. For this season, I was here. I will leave you with this...

1. The Holy Spirit knows us in our weakness - The Holy Spirit not only knows us, but he helps us in our weakness (Rom. 8:26). He helps us do things that we cannot do in our own strength. If it glorifies Jesus and is about his people and the church, the Holy Spirit wants us to be about that, and he will work in and through our weakness.

2. The Holy Spirit teaches us - The Holy Spirit works through Scripture and people to change our hearts (John 14:26; Rom. 8:14; 1 Cor. 2:6–14). When we struggle with a passage of the Bible, the Holy Spirit will teach us what it means and how it can be applied in our lives. Oftentimes, that teaching comes through people via a pastor’s sermon (Rom. 10:14–16), a close friend, or our spouse.

3. The Holy Spirit works through prayer - The Holy Spirit will intercede for us through prayer (Rom. 8:26). He will especially intercede when we’re focused on glorifying Christ and loving his people. If you don’t know what to pray, ask the Holy Spirit for help. After all, he is “the Helper” who will help those who love him. Oftentimes, God uses our prayers to change our hearts more than the hearts of others, to conform us to be more like him.

4. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus’ purpose for us - God gives good gifts. He gave us Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins. He gave us the Holy Spirit. He also gave us instruction in the Bible for living this life (2 Tim. 3:16–17). I believe 95 percent of our life’s purpose is readily found in the Bible. The purpose of our life is to glorify Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and to love people. The Holy Spirit will reveal the finer details of our purpose, such as where we will work, whom we will marry, and where we will live, as we study the Bible and walk in faith.

5. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin - John 15:8–11 teaches us that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin to conform us to Jesus’ likeness. As we lean more on the Holy Spirit, sin becomes more apparent in our lives (Gal. 5:16, 18). This allows us to repent and seek change in Christ so that we can become more like Jesus. If you’re a believer, the Holy Spirit lives in you. Open yourself up to the power of the Holy Spirit. He’s a good friend, and I don’t know what I would do without him. Jesus calls him the Helper for good reason. It’s certainly to our advantage that he is in our lives, but ultimately to glorify Jesus was why he was sent to us (John 15:26-27). In Christ, Shalom. All Praise to Yahweh. Goodbye. - DRS81

Do you agree that Heb 10:29 is referring to the unpardonable sin?
Yes. And we know that because the text says there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin for the person who continues to sin willfully, trampling down the only sacrifice for sin there is. That means it's unpardonable--unpardonable because no sacrifice exists to cover the sin of refusing Christ's one and only sacrifice for sin.

When a person, even a sanctified person, rejects the blood that forgives sin there is no more sacrifice for sin remaining for them (they've rejected it) to cover the sin of rejecting the blood. We--even sanctified people--can't be forgiven for denying Christ, the only sacrifice for sin there is because you can't have the benefit of that which you reject (that's what makes rejecting the Holy Spirit's testimony about Jesus unpardonable). But OSAS is certain that you can reject it and have it at the same time. This passage plainly says otherwise.

In regard to the punishment described in the passage: We know that a person who has been sanctified by the blood of Jesus is a born again person because it is through faith that a person is sanctified (Acts 26:18 NASB). And the passage says that the person who has been saved --having been sanctified by the blood of Jesus--who then tramples on the blood that sanctified him will be consumed by fire along with the adversaries of God, not lovingly scourged along with the believing but disobedient sons of God.

How do we know the author is talking about sanctified people receiving the damnation of the unbelieving and not the scourging of those who believe? Easy. From Hebrews itself we know that the adversaries of God are not the one's who get punished by God in this age, as the believing but disobedient sons of God are in this age (Hebrews 12:8 NASB). And the author did clearly say he is talking about receiving the punishment of the adversaries. So we know the punishment he is talking about is the future punishment of hell fire, not the punishment of cleansing fire in this age.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:6-10

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. Galatians 5:16

1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. Genesis 17:1

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:13-14

Please answer this question - Is the salvation of your soul, the result of the beginning of your faith, or the end of your faith?
