Saved by Grace not of works !

I hear a clang clang of cymbals as most certainly the logic being applied that God does not want to save all because He can not possibly allow His creation to serve and love Him because they might choose to.

That all are condemned unless God chose you before the foundation of the earth does not add up with the character of God or as per 2 Peter 3:9 below.

No He did not. Not the Christ of the bible, maybe the one you have created in your imagination. And the People Christ did die for, can never be condemned ! Rom 8:33-34

Correction; John does not say a lot of things you say.

Nowhere does the bible say Christ died for a certain, lucky few. This is something else you say that the bible does not.

Yes, and a lot of things you say. But that does not mean that the scripture does not teach it, because John does not say it verbatim as I say it.

I never said that. But the bible does indicate that Christ died for God's Elect. Rom 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Now where do you see the word lucky ?

I discussed 2 Pet 3:9 in other threads, you need to look them up. No need to go into it again with you, you are not worth it !

You have not shown that the bible teaches what you say. You simply pulls verses out of the bible as you did above and ASSUME your theology into those verses even though they do not remotely say what you are trying to force into them.


Christ died for all, for those who are and who are not of the elect. Those currently that are sinners and lost in sin and not of the elect can hear and obey the gospel and become part of the elect. How so? Because Christ died for them. Rom 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Christ died for sinners. The verse does NOT say "while we were of the elect Christ died for us.


The above verses you posted do not say that Christ only died for a certain, luck, select few and not for the rest.

2 Pet 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Is it not just fantastic that the Creator of the whole universe would consider us mere man as worthy to be redeemed and saved by the blood of the Lamb of God. I rejoice that He would desire that all would be saved which brings hope to all who have family that are unsaved.

The indefinite pronoun "any" can refer to any one and not just certain people.

3) "all" cannot refer to the elect for the elect have already come to repentance. No one is saved who has not repented of sins.

Peter wrote this letter in the early 1st century, there were elect that were going to be born for centuries to come !

We are so thankful that salvation is available to ALL and not just the select few. Salvation is available because God does not want any to perish, because He wants many sons and Jesus paid the price for all not some. If He did not pay the price for all His sacrifice was not enough and that is not the case.

You have not shown how/why the indefinite pronoun "any" must only refer to "us-ward".

Do you believe in the false idea of eternal security too?
