The scripture Paul quoted is in italicized bold. It is from Hosea 13:14. He explicitly said that Hosea 13:14 comes to pass when the dead are raised and the living are changed (the rapture). He said that the grave has been defeated at that time. This has reference to both the dead and the living. The dead are released from the grave and the living bypass it.

Aren't you mixing/confusing the rapture with the resurrection?

Did you not read what Paul said? He said that we will put on immortality when the dead are raised AND the living are changed. He said that this is when Hosea 13:14 comes to pass.

Therefore, in Paul's thinking Hosea 13:14 includes the rapture.

Can some one show me where the rapture is in the Old Testament
thethinker replied:
Paul saw the resurrection AND the rapture in Hosea 13:14.
Then n2thelight said:
And he (Paul) saw this when?Scripture please,as that verse has nothing whatsoever to do with a rapture........
Paul said that Hosea 13:14 comes to pass when the Church is resurrected AND raptured.

For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, AND we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.â€

55 “O Death, where is your sting?
O Grave, where is your victory?"

Okay, I have given you scripture as you demanded. Now what will you do with it?

The trumpet Paul refers to is the 7th,at which time is Christ 2nd coming....All shall be changed at this time, not just those in Christ....Those who died in Christ prior to this event, shall return with Christ at that time.....

Nobody is in a grave when they die, they go straight to heaven,as per Ecc,the flesh shall never be used nor needed again.......

AMEN!

Nobody is in a grave when they die...

According to the Apostle Peter, David's grave is here with us til this day...

It's amazing how people who profess to be Christians simply reject the truth of scripture. As if they know better...

there is a bodily resurrection. if you deny that then please explain what jesus had when he came back to the apostles?

Re: these are the things which shall be hereafter...

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

When does everlasting life begin?

the moment you believe, well that is a hitch argument for his idea of viewing the millennium.

Which this day? Peter's this day or your this day? If Peter means your this day then you should be able to find David's grave, right?

synthesis, the do know where the grave of david is. I believe that have found it. they do know where the city of david.

What does Davids grave have to do with David, or David being here with us?

peter speaks of his grave. that is what he meant. david is alive but he isn't here on the earth that is what peter meant. he saying how could david be in heaven seeing his lord in the future if it wasn't a vision?

On one hand we read this
Mat 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
Mat 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Mat 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Mat 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
the other

Act_2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

What is it that makes a person ? Is it blood and bone is it personality? A person who has been injured and lost limbs is not less of a person for his lack of blood and bone.... This is another topic that goes back and forth for me....
Odds are his skin blood is back into dirt his bones might still be around

reba, I believe as the jews do, that the body is part of the soul. the soul has that immaterial part to it but its not fully clothed until it has a body.

who said I fully understand it. I really don't think God wants us to . that is why I often say. study genesis and you see god created it but don't understand how, and study revalation and see god will restore and remove sin and don't know how. you got the proper exegesis of that.
