"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)
Of course God wants us to not sin; to walk according to the Spirit.
- My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.
How does your scripture validate your "sinless perfection" theory that if a person sins one time, they were never really saved.
Here is what scripture teaches.
- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 1:9 - 2:2
- And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
Since you have become a Christian, have you ever confessed your sins to God to be forgiven?
